Here's a fireworks myth. In cartoons someone is on a firework or somekinda projectile. and when they are on. they go flying into a window on one side of a building then they fly out the window on the other side. which means is it possible to ride on a firework and fly STRAIGHT inside a building

My myth is that it was the 4th of July. Some guy got really excited and stuck a firework in his mailbox. He lit it and ran back. The mailbox shot out of the ground and hit someone.

M80 myths
When I was younger, I never got to play with M80's, I heard about M80's where 1/4 stick of dynamite, and that tied together they had been used to blow up roadside mailboxes, and that the fuses where waterproof and when dropped in a toilet the toilet, and or plumbing would be blown.

M 80's are waterproof, but they are not a 1/4 stick of dynamite, that would be a quarter stick, which is also waterproof. But I too have heard the myth of blowing up plumming pipes with an m80, I've even heard of blown out toilets!!

That and losing fingers by holding a fire cracker.

I have had the chance to test an m80 in a toilet, doesn't blow the pipes, though I never tried flushing a quarter stick, don't think I'de try it on my toilet!!
