You LAUGH at the denial of racism yet your post is about TWO BLACK women in the cash cab ! You make the point FOR me. I feel that there is too much reverse racism and reverse discrimination taking place in the world but you will never here me whine about it being on a GAME SHOW like The Cash Cab that is ONLY about having FUN. I'm almost POSITIVE we will NEVER see the people, white , black , yellow, etc., that get ZERO questions correct. Would that be WRONG of the Producers to not show them or would they simply be saving them the embarrassment ? Is THAT Racism, too ? My goodness, IT'S ONLY A GAME SHOW ! Just DON'T WATCH IT if you feel offended by the color of someones skin that wins a few bucks. THAT'S RACISM ! I've seen EVERY color of people win AND LOSE. If you watched the show more than a few times, you would see this, too. Do you feel The Discovery Channel as a WHOLE is RACIST ? I sure don't. I think it's one of THE BEST channels on television.
By the way, the BEST dreads I've ever seen were on a WHITE guy so don't think for a second it's ALL OVER AFRO HAIR. ANYONE that can grow hair can have "natural" locks, as you call them. I agree with your statement that dreads and cornrows are different. Cornrows are simply braids made famous by a white girl named BO DEREK in the movie "TEN". Nothing new there. If what you say DID happen on the show, maybe the people at The Cash Cab DO need to check their facts better. I think you misunderstood the question, but then, I didn't see that one. I have seen many people on the show NOT use the time correctly or their shout-outs and end up getting another question. It can happen to anyone playing, not just black people.
I'd like to appologize to The Discovery Channel and The Cash Cab Show for engaging in the subject of racism on television. It's a dumb subject. I will stop with these words. Racism exists. It exists in ALL races. The people who cry racism in EVERYTHING they see and do are unwilling to admit THEY are racists themselves. They cry racism at any subject like they are perfect humanitarians and only the people they call racist are guilty of racism. This confuses me because it seems as though they feel they ARE NOT RACIST. I think these people need to take a look at themselves and see just how racist and HYPOCRITICAL their minds truly think. Why can't we ALL leave race out of our daily thinking ? Maybe, if we TRIED JUST A LITTLE, we could END racism. I know that's a dream but I also know, it IS a POSSIBILITY.
Everyone is getting way too serious about a game show that is very entertaining and educational. I always learn something, most people don't know all the answers. Not everyone is going to like everything that is on tv. I agree that they should change the time back. I liked it when it was on later, it is more fun to watch than the news.

Something to notice- Ben has an earpiece which pipes in the questions and answers from, assumably, a producer. Ben said that he only had one question left based on his judgement of distance, but apparently his producer disagreed. That's why that happens, and it happens more than once on the show.

Now, they originally were TALKING about cornrows, but the producer made a judgement call when the man said "dreadlocks". It is arguable that the description given DOES fit dreadlocks - although not directly relatable to the American Black Power movement, it was a major part of Pan-Africanism when Bob Marley's political views shook the Earth. Dreads have also been revitalized by rapers, most notably Lil John.
But to know this, the producer would actually have to be culturally and historically savvy.
And before you blast me for being a racist myself.

You have cleared up a question I had about someone possibly misunderstanding a question on the show and therefore making a wrong accusation. It had NOTHING to do with race. By the way, THANKS for the info about Ben's ear thing. I wondered how he knew all that stuff. ROLL ON CASH CAB !!!
This is a keeper! Fit's perfecttly into the Discovery Channel mix. Love Ben Bailey - love Cash Cab! Please please please renew, I really look forward to it everyday.
One suggestion to add a bit more scope to the Cash Cab proceedings. Why not have Ben hand over a small amount of cash to the people who deliver a correct answer to a street or mobile shout-out? This is a very entertaining program where we can learn something and observe human nature.
This show is my all time favorite show. I don't watch TV very much because it is mind numbing the majority of the time, however this show lets me people watch, which i love to do, while educating myself. Cash cab is a show that you can watch with the whole family as there are questions on there you may not know but your 5 year old child will! Ben adds sooo much to the show with his wittiness....I just love this show! its real.

I have to admit...I thought the first time i watched cash cab that it was Mike Row from Dirtiest Jobs...not Ben. Anyway, why did they remove cash cab from the list...IT'S A GREAT SHOW. Even my husband liked it, and he doesnt usually like stuff like that.
I agree, Cash Cab is one of the best shows You have on, You probably would not have canxelled it if you did not move it to 6am on the west coast. I have had a lot of people tune in to it, please bring it back at a reasonable time like between 10am and 4pm west coast time
Why in the heck did they change the time, I would come home every night practically looking forward to scarfing up a dinner in the company of (2) episodes w/the Cash Cab Fares!! What idiot decided to take it out of that slot???? PUT IT BACK NOW!!!
Get the cab back on my TV. Keep this cab in NYC. If you want Cash Cabs all over the place then call them "Cash Cab Chicago" sort of like the CSI series. I just want the show back on TV.
I assume the abscence of Cash Cab is only temporary - I'm HOPING anyway. It became one of our favorite programs at a time when TV generally STINKS !! IT seems all the good shows get taken off the air. PLEASE keep Cash Cab coming - thank you
We have been telling our friends all about Cash Cab and now we see it is not on at the usual time. I hope the executives at Discovery Channel know that this is a popular show and the public enjoys watching it in the evening. Please don't screw up and take it off. If you do I hope a smart TV exec will pick it up for another channel. Thank you.
Cash Cab is extremely boring and has no place on Discovery. I agree they are using it as a time filler. Can't wait until it goes off air, its just a matter of time.
