because it seems to me that they condone it. we all know that the guy on man vs. wild is NOT really stranded. because the network can not put people in mortal danger. that is against the law. so him killing animals on the show is animal cruelty because he is not in a an emergency situation where its necessary to "hunt" animals. the fact that he killed that bear. which is a protected species by the way, is just awful. if the animal is already dead that's one thing. i just hope the discovery network knows that mistreatment of animals is what they're doing. and to think that discovery used to be about preservation. well if the Discovery Network like multi-million dollar lawsuits, then i hope they go down hard. really sick people obviously running the network.
