I have just started watching the show. I love the images but I am so far disappointed with the soundtracks. The first two shows that I saw were the marina in Turkey, and the geysers in Iceland. Both shows sounded like the microphone was down a drain and it had a very metallic quality. My fiance is a DJ and does lots a electronic music production. He thinks that the natural sound was run through the mixing board and then reverb was added.

The other day we watched an episode about the rain forests of Peru. It did not have the metallic quality but it seems like they added or layered extra sounds to enhance the shows soundtrack. I was just in the jungles of Belize
hiking and there is sound, but not that much.

Does anyone else feel this way about the soundtracks to these shows?
