Started working on this backyard immediately after New Years Day. We are looking to provide food, water and habitat for birds and other wildlife. As of Feb. 6th we have two hummingbird feeders and 4 bird feeding stations set up. The thistle socks are very popular. We are constantly visited by hummers, mostly Anna's. Also we have transformed an old fire pit into a pond & fountain feature. I'll add new photos as the season progresses. Geographically speaking the habitat is located in one of the foggiest areas of San Francisco, a few blocks from Golden Gate Park and under 2 miles east of the pacific ocean. This provides us with cooler summers and lots of moist ocean air.
