We are also a new group in the US. My suggestion is to find the questionnaire in your binder that asks you to give your opinion of the plants, animals, water, etc. in your community. For example, is there a conflict between humans and animals in your community? Are there invasive plant species or polluted rivers? Erosion? Where we live, plants from people's gardens are taking over the trees in the forests and the problem is so big that it's hard to imagine that a few hours of hard work will make much of a difference.
I think you will come of with many project ideas. Then Dr. Goodall asks that you get your facts correct and identify a project. I think almost every community has trash to pick up, people to educate about keeping our air and water clean, and trees to plant - those are some universal projects.
We're moving slow, but our group is mostly busy 4th graders. Good luck and I hope you meet other groups from Spain!
Try to think of problems that are going on locally. Our group is in Asheville NC and we have allot of bears coming into the neighbor hood getting into trash. They end up getting shot. We are going to set up education centers telling people what to do if a bear comes into your yard. Just think of a problem that is going on in your area and think of something to do about it. ~Emily Woodall~
