one doesn't have to be rude to get an opinion across, and that their opinion might be considered or understood more if its presented in a NON-hostile manner.

EXAMPLE TIME..
If someone says I like the color green.

One could say, green is a nice color, but its not my personal favorite, i like all shades of orange.

INSTEAD OF..
wtf, who likes green? people who like green are all tree-hugging enviromentalist, that only care about the Earth and not the people who live on it.

Catch my drift??

On that note.. who doesn't care about the environment, even a little bit?? Are some people on this forum just disagreeing to disagree.. Cant we all just get along. To say that you dont care about the Earth and/or what happens to it, IMO is to say that you dont care about your family(kids,grandkids,greatgkids etc.)(that fyi has to live on this Earth, far after you leave it)


How hard is it to say: I understand that, that is your opinion, and/or I respect your opinion, but I disagree and here is why..

or I dont think its SUPER important, but it should be considered..

And after that, the other person could say, I see or I dont see what you are saying BUT..

The strong opposing views are funny for a short time, and then they are just, as you said, ridiculous. That is when I put that person on 'ignore' and go about my day.

I like a good argument or debate, but there are those who only want to fight.

I put this post in the break room bc its me rambling about nothing, and NOT talking about anything in particular dealing with the Duggars, but I guess mod kelly decided to move it.
