Thanks for the link to the map. I took all the videos and radar tracks and thought the main mass would be found around Smith's Bend and Aquilla. Although only 2 hours away I have not gotten down to look around myself.
i expect more will be (and has been) found, the wheat harvest is going slow, a late freeze did a lot of damage. there are some wheat fields that will be worth a look when cut. still lots of good places to search, just be nice to the land owners and you'll receive the same. some folks have been treated badly and what no part of it, don’t take it personal, just let them be.
it will be more difficult but west stones will be found after plowing. we’ve searched Brenham patches for years, our visitors get a big kick out of finding a meteorite. best time is a few days after a good rain. the rain washes off any rocks churned up by the plow and when the soil dries they are easy to spot. a strong magnet on the end of a stick will save your back! best wishes, don
