Locks of Love does NOT donate wigs to kids with cancer. Please stop telling your hairstylists to announce this every time they cut the hair of a long haired person.

I just watched an episode where a grey haired man was told his hair would go to kids with cancer. Wrong on all counts.

*Locks of Love makes wigs for kids with alopecia, not cancer.

*They do not "donate" wigs, they sell them to the families on a "sliding scale."

They sell all "unusable hair" to cover "manufacturing costs," this includes grey hair, bleached hair or anything they consider unusable.
