I'M A SCOUT IN 2/1 CAV, ALTHOUGH NOT DEPLOYED YET, WE ARE SCHEDULED TO SOON ENOUGH. THE BS ON THIS PROGRAM IS DISRESPECTFUL TO ALL OF US WHO SERVE IN ACTIVE DUTY ARMY. i MADE THE FALSE SUPPOSITION THAT I WOULD SEE TRUE COMBAT STORIES AND ALL I SEE IS MEN ACTING A FOOL IN A WARZONE. MAYBE I TAKE MY JOB TOO SERIOUSLY, BUT THIS IS A SAD REPRESENTATION OF THE ARMED FORCES. ALL BE IT, WE ALL FIND WAYS TO PASS THE TIME, BUT DOES IT NEED TO BE PUBLICIZED? DO WE NEED TO SHOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THE LENGTHS THAT WE GO TO TO STAY AMMUSED? NO! WE NEED TO SHOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT WE ARE SOLDIERS, NOT NASTY GIRLS, NOT RESERVISTS, NOT A BUNCH OF BITCHES THAT WANT TO CRY BECAUSE WE ARE POGUES. WHERE IS THE COMBAT? WHERE ARE THE MEN FROM 3RD BRIGADE ON THE FRONT LINE, OR EVEN 3ACR? LETS SHOW REAL MILITARY MEN, THAT ARE PROFESSIONAL. SCOUTS OUT

I agree I thought it would show the fire fights like the documentary Lima Company not America’s funniest home videos.

Don't you think that the violence has been glorified enough on television?
There needs to be more shown that just the combat, these are real people thrown into combat situations that are making the best out of a bad situation.
This show does a fine job of showing "action" with a humorous break in between.
How dare you mock any of the Guard or Reserve who served in Iraq.
I was a National Guard soldier deployed 2004-2005 doing convoy security on the MSRs, where at any moment an IED could have wounded or killed any of my squad or myself.
When I was making videos over there, I avoided at all cost filming "blood & gore", I was sending these videos home, my family and friends didn't need to see that, they needed to see that I was OK.
After you spend a year Iraq then voice your opinion.

Nice post Action, couldn't agree with you more on supporting those that have been there and are still there. America should know what is going on over there, but we don't need to see our troops getting shot up, that is shown enough already.

No one wants to see our troops get shot up. How ever I would like to finally see some of them insurgents paying for what they have done. If it could save even 1 soldiers life then I could care less if they nuked the place.

It is this noble but misguided attitude that contributes to such things as the Abu Ghraib scandal. Not everyone in Iraq is an insurgent; the mission our troops have been given is made ever so more difficult by this. Our leaders have assigned the troops the mission of providing peace and security for the bulk of the Iraqis while destroying the insurgents and criminals and preventing religious cleansing. It would be a lot easier if the mission was just to wipe out all the current inhabitants and move in a different population, as, for example, the Roman and British empires did in Palestine and North Ireland.

So why not hand it off to the UN and bring our troops back to secure the USA. I mean look at our cities. Name one big city that any one can walk the main streets after dark and not be scared? Plus the money spent in Iraq caused my local Leeds head start to have to beg for money so they can keep our local pre school open. But as long as Iraq has a preschool and are happy I guess its OK and after all these cuts from good old bush now I cant see the same doctor that I’ve seen for 29 years. How is any of this fair for the tax payers of America? Or for our solders witch don’t make nearly enough money for there job. So other then spending all are money in Iraq we could us it. I would be more understanding if we were in Africa helping people that need it the most.

PS. I don't think Iraq is worth the cost in blood or money.
