The Mythbusters show that aired 07/07 and 07/08 on TimeWarner in the Los Angeles market showed a level of poor judgement that troubles me greatly. Your Producer, Beyond Productions, and your researchers are either unthinking or just plain stupid. In any event, they should not be in a position of responsibility greater than cleaning up at the dog park.
Mssrs. Adam and Jamie were put in the position of saying such stupid lines as, "Will jumping on a grenade actually save the rest." OR "Macho Boom" OR "That was a real-like thump."
Although you researched the origin of the word "grenade", you completely ignored documented history of the self-sacrificing act of covering a grenade with your own body so as to sheild your buddies from injury and death.
This is not a "movie myth" or a "tall tale confirmed". There follows a listing compiled from the actual citations upon presentation of the MEDAL OF HONOR to these individuals. Almost all of the presentations were posthumous, For your little pea-brained researchers, that means that most of the young men listed were killed by their actions.
Your crass, lame, mean-spirited presentation is beyond apology or forgiveness by me. Perhaps the families of these men listed are more gracious and forgiving than I.
