Took me several tries to locate this place. Tough site to get around for a newbie.

Although I really enjoyed the series on " A Year With The Blue Angels" (being retired from Naval Aviation, that shouldn't be a surprise), only one item in the entire series got enough of my attention to warrant this comment and that was "flying paint".

The way it was described, form flying consists of the Wing picking "a spot" on the Lead and concentrating on it. That's really only half of the requirement.

In actuality, to maintain the precise formation, Wing must have two spots at diffrent distances lined up ... the larger the distance between the spots, the more accurately the indicate changes in position (and the earlier a deviation).

These spots can both be on the Lead or they can be of one on Lead and one on Wing, but two at different sistances is the point here ... not one visualized on a painted surface.

But ... for such a minor comment to come out of all that programming is, I think, a real tribute to the producers.
