I was a member of the 7th Sqnd. 17th Armored Cavalry Regiment(Air). We were thr first Unit in the Army to recieve both the LoH (Little ole' Helicopter) not flying egg, and the Cobra.

I have pictures of a LOH used in demostration we did for West Point at Fort Knox KY. in 1967.

We arrived in Vietnam in October of 1967 and the LOH's operated with our HU1Cs (Charlie Model) Gunships as well as our Cobras which also arrived in October of 1967(See page 42 Tour 365). This was issued upon leaving Vietnam in Octbor 1968.

I think your researchers need to get their facts straight before you show something on the military channel that's not true.

The 7/17 was formed at Fort Know Ky. in 1966. I was with them the from December 1966 through October 1968.

I enjoy your programming and just think you should be sure of your facts.

Bill Jarrell. Scout, 3rd Platoon, D Troop 7/17.
