OK, last time I checked, the name of the channel was the Military Channel, not Court TV or RealTV. What is up with all this police crap? The Military Channel was/still is my favorite channel, but I'm going through withdrawls since all week the shows have been about Bubba going down to the local doughnut shop for a dozen of powdered and a coffee.

I want my Military Channel back!

Hey, Military Channel programming people! I have to agree with all these others (but not the snide stereotyping). I'm a police officer, and when I turn on The Military Channel, I sure as hell don't want to see more "work." A show that relates police tactics and equipment back to military stuff is fine, but these SWAT shows and COPS ripoffs need to be placed on the appropriate channel. It's bad enough that The History Channel got screwed up, and now this?

I totally agree. I was a cop for 28 years and had to medically retire. My wife just loves to watch COPS, despite the fact that I tell her that doing so rubs my face in something I can't do anymore and loved so much.

Nothing personal to my brother Officers on the west coast, but you're just TOO pretty. And everyone, quit playing nice guy for the cameras!

My favorite episode was one in Cleveland where one of their finest laid some dirtbag out with his Maglight. Bet the brass was on their knees trying to get that edited out. Seriously, no offense but this is true, but I'm from SW Ohio and have attended in-service classes and I know one rule: If your classmates are from Cleveland, any suburb with the suffix "Heights" or work within about a 30 mile radius, DO NOT go out partying with them after class! I would still kiss the rear end of the Columbus cop that cut us a break when we ventured to the OSU campus to let off some steam (maybe 'cause I was the only one sober.) Show that one on COPS!

But back to the topic. I know it's shown on the Military Channel, but (normal?) TV is the same. A friend (Broadcast Engineer) at a local station says after so many reruns, they'll switch programming for a while while they get their new lineup of shows for the following season together. I'm hoping that's it, 'cause I've seen the construction of the H.W. Bush so many times I can't watch it anymore.

I agree, there is a need for new programs. I have watched the same shows multiple times, but would rather watch a military re-run then junkyard wars or cops when the name of the channel is military. I think part of the problem I see is when they re-run something, it isn't in rotation, it's all weekend, every hour. At least show four or five weaponologies in a row, then the same two every other hour all weekend long. I think the Military channel needs a new program manager.
