It truly has. It has helped educate me. For instance, we have a little person working as a waitress at a local restaurant. I feel like I know her because of your show. I feel comfortable talking to her and not awkward. I would have felt awkward had it not been for your show. I have never been around little people until now. I know first hand that things that people are not use to-makes them uncomfortable. I am going through chemo and lost all my hair. That makes people uncomfortable because they aren't use to it. They feel awkward around me. I wear a scarf or ball cap and have gotten use to the stares. I don't feel like I should have to explain to them what I am going through but if I could-that would put them more at ease. This is true of anything unusual, any disability. So, thank you for the education and helping me to be more comfortable with the stares. I love your show and look forward to the new season. You all are family to me...

The Roloffs DO NOT READ THESE BOARDS. Sorry for yelling but you're the umpteenth person to try to leave a message for them here. Try on of their personal sites.

Thunderhawk. I spent a little time in a wheelchair and know that people avoid eye contact, but I would try to engage them, ask for help getting a product I could not reach, and make a joke about it. Your hair will grow back. One of our friends has a beautiful short hairdo now and she loves it. Before her chemo she had to color it and the result was not flattering. Now she looks hip--and she's in her 60s. This is the time to wear big dangling earrings. Good luck and welcome to the boards.

Thanks to all. The treatments are going well and cancer is going into remission. Yes, my hair will grow back but it made me aware of those who deal with being different their whole lives. I have had to use the motorized carts at stores and do try to help those who need help and can't reach items. I will try to get this on Matt's personal site because I do want to thank them.

I can't find anywhere to get a message to Matt or Amy... I know they have lives and are busy but I am disappointed that they can't receive my feedback about the show as they have the show to educate. Thought they would be interested in the outcome.

Thunder... check Matt's personal site... http://www.mattroloff.comThere might be a way to contact them there. Having said that, I'm sure they get tons of letters and emails, so they would not be able to read them all, nor respond to them. You could give it a shot though.
