Balletcat...

Well I guess close only counts in handgrenades (sp) and horseshoes so I don't deserve to post the next Q. How about you post another question and I will give it another try? Cool

Yo Kali

Shoot! I came to see what kind of question you would ask.

I think your answer was complete enough to be considered correct.

Why not give it a try?

Where are our other players like Noodles and YoWhiskers?

What is how much egg they are given when they are weighed? I thought I read that they were given little treats when they get weighed.

Good morning Hivolt-

I am sorry but that is not the correct answer. While your information regarding them getting treats of egg or water at the scales is correct it is not the primary factor in pup weight gain.
Thanks so much for palying today! I am excited to have been able to post my first question!

Hi cody, I wasn't sure if that was it or not but that was all I could come up with. I kind of drew a blank. Thanks for getting back to me on that.

Good Morning Codyferret and Hivolt!

In answer to the Q... Daily weight gain of pups is primarily influenced by the numbers of carers per pup and the weight gain of those carers. Rainfall and daily temps had additional positive and negative effects, respectively, on weight gain of pups born to subordinates.

Hivolt~~ Glad you stopped by this morning...it gives hope that more will see this burrow and play.

Have a great day!

The Q is ~ Dominant females are known to kill pups of subordinates and sometimes even evict older subordinates during what time?

Kalikat-

Good question.
I believe the answer is in the 20 days leading up to the birth of her own pups.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Smile

Hivolt~ Hi, glad to see you are still in the mix. I am a fairly new member but had been viewing the board for a few months before joining. This looked like a great group of people to be a part of and feel fortunate to have found the board. Hope to see ya again....

Wilson~ I'm sorry the answer is incorrect, but hey it's always worth a try and I'm glad you did Smile.... Come back again Ok?

Codyferret~ Great excavation! Your answer is correct. I had to look at the wording because I was expecting it to say 1-3 weeks LOL... Kinda like potatoe/patatoe Big Grin ....will look forward to your question.

KaliKat *have a great day everyone*

Hey Pronker...

I know exactly what you mean about the hazards of the season. I certainly can relate to the aches and pains of clearing the paths of snow and/or ice! ugh... We can always hope for a kinder more gentler exit to the end of winter...When all else fails break out the Icy Hot or similar remedies Wink

Hivolt~ Sorry to hear you missed out because of the elements (yucky white stuff). Hopefully the next question will be posted in time for you.

Stay safe and warm everyone...

Good morning!

The question for today is-

Where did the inspiration for the name of the "last known Vivian" come from?

Happy hunting!

I think the last known Vivian is Zaphod, and his name comes from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy books by Doug Adams. A main character is Zaphod Beeblebrux, a 2 headed alien.
