From what I can tell, Mythmod shouldn't be getting any crap for this whatsoever. If anything, he/she's basically been hung out to dry by the higher powers.

And... The_Faster_gun? If you blew off overtime to watch a TV show - it's not Discovery's fault you didn't stay to work that extra three hours. Doesn't matter if it was a rerun or premier. It was your choice and, me... I'd have made the money - they will always re-air them.

LOL...you missed the point COMPLETELY- It was worth me blowing off 2 or 3 hrs for a NEW episode- NOT to see a rerun...a BIG DIFFERENCE.....
if the network cared about the viewers, they would have given us more notice.
There is still time for them to decide to air the episode at 1am.
Mythmod, i dont think you understand how much we like the mythbusters tv show and that we have looked forward for this new show since the commercials started airing. We are loyal fans and expect and deserve more respect from the network. You are appearing somewhat stand-off-ish with your replies, but i know you must just feel overwhelmed with all the responses.
I must ask, what do Adam, Jamie, Kari, Tory, or Grant feel about this situation. Hey guys, if at all possible get the new show on air at 1am eastern time.
I am really glad I don't judge a show one it's self described fans, but wow this thread reflects poorly on the fan base and community. A couple of rescheduled episodes and you scream bloody murder????
Anyway. Last minute shuffles like this (clearing an entire two weeks of new episodes, INCLUDING some first episodes! think about how those poor people must feel, finally getting their break and poof! their well advertised shot gets bumped?) are not done lightly. They are very expensive and are only done if the corporation stood to loose even more money by not doing it.
The most likely senerio (excluding the parent company forcing them too) is that they saw the Tuesday's numbers against the Olympics and discovered that they were really, really bad.
Now, bad numbers don't just mean feeling sorry for themselves. If a channel under preforms it's promises to advertisers, they generally have to start giving money back. Money that is used to do things like pay for mythbusters (and I assume all these 'fans' want the show to continue being well funded so they can do all these myths), and pay for new experimental shows (which is how mythbusters got started).
So what we are probably doing is looking at a shuffling of advertiser's time.. giving them a reasonable discount on the two weeks or maybe just moving their paid allotment to the end of the season so they get their money's worth.

coolmom - I'm almost sure there's something else to do with time that would have been spent watching this repeat than giving the moderator a hard time over something she had no control over.

Besides....LOL, if I wanted to watch re-runs, I'd have worked the extra 2 or 3 hrs and then came home and watched Starz or HBO....

mythmod u misunderstand...i in know way blame u for any of this nor did i imply that i blamed you. We are are here venting about what we feel was a complete injustice it is our right to do so.
