I fell for it too! I have never been on the fan site before this.

Reminds me of what happens regularly on Lost. They advertise for weeks that new episodes are coming then the first one is some stupid recap episode.

Great to know, now I can go to PBS and watch NOVA Science Now.

Now I am not sure if I will be ready to watch Mythbusters on 8/27, but of course I will not know that until 90 minutes or so before the show starts..

ok my last post was not allowed(Iguess i said a bad word or something so I'll try again) the guy in charge od programming is probably at home sitting in frony of his computer maniacally laughing at the pain and frustration he has caused millions of viewers.

This is an outrage! We see more and more commercials and ads about new episodes of Mythbusters, yet to our (the fan's) dismay, fewer and fewer episodes are actually seen on time. There is no reason that proper planing and a strict production schedule could not prevent these episodes from airing on time.
I think I speak for all the fans when I say that the producers need to develop a plan to ensure that their episodes air on time.

Ok, so I am sitting in the fire station after a day of training. My entire day I am looking forward to a new Mythbusters episode. I finish my duties around the station. I get cleaned up. I camp out in the TV room all by myself. I tune in to Discovery at 8:00 pm and see............PIRATE SPECIAL???!!!!!

That is dirty. Just plain dirty. You better explain this....

They "just" ran an advertisement claiming to show NEW Mythbusters every Wednesday at 9PM E. Liar, Liar! Man, talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

Now i won't have to throw the remote through the tv and punch holes in the wall. i don't like watching the pirate episodes again

If Adam and Jamie were actually in charge you could probably expect an apology or explanation, but they only run the show. Not the Network or broadcasters. If you are waiting for the network or broadcaster to say or do anything, does the term Hell freezing over mean anything to you? The networks and broadcaster have never had any use or respect for their viewers. We mean nothing to them beyond numbers to draw advertisers. So am I angry they screwed us? Yep. Can any of us do anything to get them to care? Nope.

Unfortunately, the apology will come from someone who did nothing wrong. Like Dan.

This is unacceptable. Discovery needs to issue a public apology and explanation on the air and on the front page of the mythbusters site. Canceling episodes just before they air is not a great way to keep your viewers.

Just like a lot of the other users I see in this topic, I posted just to complain. There's 35 minutes left in the time slot so I have nothing better to do anyways...

So glad you decided to delay the showing for an event that can't even fill the seats they sold tickets for. Yes that's right. Over half of the venues can't even get 80% of the seats filled.
