Not really. There are online researchers that view the board and look for ideas, they then do a write up with some research and submit it to the show staff. I honestly don’t think that any Discovery employees view this board other than MM and Mod Ivy.

You weren't here last November, when the entire Discovery site went through software "upgrades". The forums were down for the better part of a week, and it was VERY apparent at that time that no one from Discovery (other than MythMod & Mod_Ivy, as Typ said - and who have to bear the brunt of the anger) pays much attention to what goes on or is said here.

Since Discovery has yet to issue ANY statement about what happened, how, exactly, do you figure they are lying and insulting?

As yet, I have not seen a single person post that they will never watch another episode of Mythbusters again. Since they aren't losing many (if any) viewers over this, why should they get too concerned about what a handful of people think?

I came to the website wondering what happened to "Verminators" (was it cancelled or moved? just nothing...)I couldnt find it on upcoming schedules, got frustrated/bored then came across this...last week I went to a movie and taped Mythbusters... it wasn't the shows listed (I apparently got part 2 of the pirate ep) and now I guess I know why...ish. Not the first time new and repeat eps have been switched in the listings, probably wont be the last. Besides, I swear the first ads I saw (over a month ago) had the Moon landing recreation as the first new one of the season. So I don't have clarity or closure, but I will get on and watch what there is.

And when those ads aired (with the exception of the ones that aired a few time slots earlier) they were factual and accurate. Discovery most likely made this a last minute decision, and thus couldn't replace the ads fast enough.

And nobody said (or hinted) that they were from Discovery, they said (and hinted) that they have been here long enough to know how it works.

And uggae said nothing about his boss being a Discovery exec, or even working for Discovery. Stop putting words into people's mouths. It makes you look not smart.

Discovery will not come to these boards. They all have lives and jobs in the real world (unlike some people here, apparently). And they have more important things to deal with than letting a small number of people know why they made a private business decision.

Unless you can come up with a good reason as to why they should tell us all, it won't happen. And no, because the fans may be angry if they don't isn't a reason. The fans will still watch the shows when they air, regardless of how angry they may be over this.
