Evidently these people still complaining have never had any real disappointment in their lives. Come on it is only a TV show, on of the best on TV right now, but still only a TV show. In the scheme of things it is a pretty insignificant thing. I can come up with a quick list of a few hundred things in my life more important then TV.
So many of you might wonder why I am still posting on this thread. It is mainly to just torment those people that actually think they are going to get an answer and that are making such a big deal about this. I figured with the nickname and this being their first visit they would just assume the name fit. Works pretty well huh?
And for all of you that think them advertising is lying to you. Ummm, are you writing complaints for all the other advertising out there? The things that uses your outlets to scare away bugs and rats. Like that works. Don't even get me started on all the "male enhancement" stuff.

Good heavens. A week. FIFTY SIX pages! When are you people going to let this go?
Here's some reality for you. Despite all the pompous demands, Discovery does not owe anyone an apology or an explanation. In the old TV Guide magazine was this disclaimer: "stations reserve the right to make last-minute changes". Discovery has that same right. You are not paying them for an episode of "Mythbusters" (no, paying for cable TV doesn't count) so you do not have the right to demand or expect anything. You get whatever episode they decide to air. Period.
This is all sounding rather obsessive-compulsive. I suggest that some of you get away from your keyboard, go out in the fresh air and sunshine, and enjoy the repeats until the new episodes start, whenever that may be.

I agree with alex99a they do not own an apology. for all anyone knows this could be an experiment, or they may need more time to edit, add stuff or they may not want to interfere with the olympics or other t.v. programming. and as a mythbusters fan myself, i would like to see more new episodes(im bored of these repeats). i have only ever miss maybe 3 episode on their first airdate, and only one i have not watched and cannot find online or on t.v. is the alaska one. does anyone know where i can find that episode???

Of course they reserve the right, there a TV station they can air whatever they want. But that is not the point - the point is that fans like us are what keeps the station running, and by advertising a new episode, and then not airing it Discovery is losing some of its respect. I think they do owe us an apology.

But as I've pointed out, no one has indicated here that they will no longer watch the show. If keeping quiet isn't costing them viewers, why should they say anything?

Maybe their testing a myth on us.. 56 pages is pretty impressive for 6 days of discussion. Or perhaps it's a Neilson poll (of a sort) to see how their fan base is. Who knows.. Better luck next week I suppose.

Actually, the ads showing new episodes continued to rotate throught Wednesday and the following evening. I don't know if/when they pulled the ads, but if the Dirty Jobs ads are any indication, they still are running. As I mentioned before, the rescheduling was handled poorly. The appearance of professionalism would have included a crawler during the 'Pirate' repeat episode echoing the same information (minus the link) that was included with the Ticker from the official MythBusters and Man Vs Wild sites.

Amen! This is nuts. It's a great show, but it's still a t.v. show.

I was very upset by not getting the new episode. I had made sure that I would be back from Rainbow for Girls and was extremely disapointed.

Discovery needs to come out and issue a statement.
We as loyal fans deserve one.

Reading this board has been more fun than some of the auto racing boards that I am in. Oh, wait, I am going to miss next week's new show because I will be traveling. Go figure.

Back at around page 20 or so a few of us posted the replies we got from discovery. The overall message was "we post shows on a monthly basis so there was no way to warn people or change what the website or Tv guides said"
This has clearly been proven to be a lie as not only the website has been changed but so has some Tv Guides.
I posted this to remind some how discovery treated those of us that sent a message of worry for the sudden change.
They didn't handle this well and people need to remember that.

Is discovery going to give an offical word? Most likely not. Did discovery treat there fans with respect? NO. Should we keep complaining about it? No.
Discovery clearly doesn't believe they did anything wrong.
