Thought the costumes were awesome all-around, but Kari's Mythgirl was best! Nice shimmy!

The first time Tory got out of the phone booth, I thought he looked a bit like a cross between the girl on the Wendy's logo and that Matthew Lesko guy...except for the exclamation marks.

Kudo's to Kari for being the fastest one to change into her awesome costume!! I must say that when they all ran in shadow in front of the MythBuster Logo was the BEST!!

Thanks again for a GREAT show!!

Well mythmod, most superheros wear the costumes under their regular clothes so it's more a matter of how fast you can take them off. Wink

first let me say I love the show. Me and My husband watch it faithfully, thru the wonderful invention of TVO I might add.

I want to comment on the imprint with punch. Anyone who went to high school at some time has seen the imprint of a class ring in someones forehead. I think this one should be redone. Pig skin for one is a lot thicker than human skin, not to mention, there is muscle, tissue, and etc between human skin and the skull, that helps hold that indention. I would say that maybe in the real world it might not actually leave an imprint but it definitely will swell up in the shape of the ring and bruise in that shape as well. Also, the second shot at heavy weight strength on the slow mo it did not make direct contact with the forehead, it went at the top of the head and sorta slid off. Anyway, I would like to see this one redone.

Hey you teenagers out there that are going to do something stupid anyway, why don't you test this myth on video with your friends Wink

i agree. i saw the slip and thought to myself "they can't let that pass as a result" and sure enough, they did.

also, why on earth would someone punch somebody else in the forehead? that would hurt the attacker much more than the victim. i think when the mythbusters revisit this myth they should aim at the cheek area instead of straight at the forehead. there's more of a chance for the blow to penitrate deep enough in the tissue to leave a sizeable imprint if nothing else.

I don't know where to post this, but here's a costume-related superhero myth: The Cape Glider. Can someone have a flexible cape that they can walk around with, that can turn into a rigid glider that can allow someone to safely descend from the top of a building?

i think it was a no brainer why kari was the fastest in changing her clothes because she was only wearing a pair of coveralls. that is so easy to take off while the other two were wearing normal clothes that take longer to get on. just my two cents.

Superman is the only one that used a phone booth. Spidy striped on the fly or swing. wonder woman just spinned around in a puff of smoke. oh try the down the pole as batman did. And Batgirl uhmm she just shows up ready to fight. Superman or supergirl also flies at super speed to change clothes too.

I know test what us humans can do. lets see you do batman's down the pole.

I also agree that the phantom ring myth should be redone, as I remember the Phantom comic strip the punch was usually on the cheek. I think the mark was more like a bruise then a scar. In order to get a bruise you need somthing that acts like soft tissue.

i would like to give my opinion on the punch imprint. it is possible because i have seen it done. the reason it didn't work was because the ring that was build by the mythbusters was a real skull ring the imprint on the ring was inwards instead of exposed meaning the ring is not flat faced but skull shaped outwards and if you get one of those rings and even press it against yours head or your arm you get an impression. i think the myth should be redone..

oops.. i meant the ring is supposed to be outward faced skull. not flat faced like they tried in the myth. like the once you could find and buy at (Hot Topic) stores. with those rings you could make a imprint on your head with minimal pressure. and if punched with, even permanent damage..

i would also like to give my opinion of the catching an arrow with your hand.. i also think the myth was busted incorrectly because the arrow was caught to soon. the way that they show in the movies was that the arrow was traveling a distance of more than 30 feet. And not caught just by the hand, but by a circular motion of the arm as if you were following the motion of the arrow. also not catching the arrow at full starting velocity but when it was already decreasing speed.. it was attempted and successfully done by Criss Angel and others after numerous tries with a professional archer.

Tori had the funniest character but Kari had the hands down best suit

I thought this myth was a really pointless one. Superman is the only hero who's been known to change in a phone booth and he does it at super human speed.

He is faster than a speeding bullet you know and sence no one is faster that a speeding bullet you can't actully test this.

I have seen some preddy fast quick changes though working in live theater it's hard not to see someone strip naked and hurry into another costume back stage. Of course quick chages like this the costumes are useually riged with velcrow to get in and out of them fast.

I LOVED the Mythgirl costume! Please could we see more of this in future episodes? Especially the stiletto heels - perhaps you could try some stiletto heel myths?

two things,

for one the ring was flat. when i was in highschool i did infact leave indentions (not perminant mind you) but i didnt hit hard either..) and the main thing on this is teh part that left an indention stood out more..

also with the changing in a phone booth, there are professional magicians who can change in literaly the blink of an eye, true it has alot to do with the special clothing they where but if i was going to change into an outfit, i would have special clothing on also

tori should rename himself 'captain floppyshoes' after that costume he wore. he looked like he was wearing bed slippers. kari's, on the other hand, outshined them all. could do away with the stilletos though. you can't fight crime in high-heels that way.
