I have an idea. It's not really a myth but is a good question to find out. Would swimming in caramel be faster than swimming in chocolate?

Since I already saw the episode of curving a bullet, would an arrow be curved after shooting it?

Also another new idea which I really need to know. Can you really try to fly tiny micro-chips in a tornado to determine the inside of them?

Please test out these questions. I have been yearning to know for a long time.

Do 'deer whistles' work? One can buy plastic whistles to stick on the front bumper of a car. Air passing thru holes in the plastic makes a whistling sound that is supposed to scare deer away from an oncoming car.

[RANT]

All of the idiotic visually handicapped new members who have posted "ideas" here, please read the top of the forum.

"Talk with fellow fans about the latest show! DO NOT POST NEW SHOW IDEAS HERE! PLEASE USE THE FIND BUTTON AND POST ON AN EXISTING TOPIC."

And to avoid insulting people further, I'll let caitekins explain.

quote:
Just so you guys know, this is the wrong area to post new myths. I recommend looking around the overall forum to find where your myth ideas best fit. We have Ideas: Movies, Ideas: Viral Videos, Ideas: Historical Fact, Ideas: Military and Weapons, and Ideas: Everything Else. If you just want to post a random topic, then the Water Cooler is the place for off topic discussion.

Since you're new, just so you know, if you don't want to get flammed, you should make sure and 1) post in the right areas, 2) use the find feature to see if your idea is already being discussed, and 3) follow the Terms of Service. It'll make getting along around here much easier.

The best thing about the forum is it's relatively organized, intellectual, civil, etc, and the Senior Members surely appreciate newbies who help with and add to those things

Yes, I was visiting someone in hospital and was told by maintenance worker that I had to unplug my laptop from charger due to the oxygen being on in the room. said a spark from my laptop could start an explosion in the room. Now there was a laptop in the room being operated by nurses on a special table they use to enter treatments and patient dispositions, etc. but how much oxygen has to be in the room where a spark from a laptop can cause explosion?

I was looking for liquid plumber to clear a drain and was told by rite aid employee that a plumber told him to use a bottle of coca cola and squeeze it into the drain and it would clear it. Employee said he id it and it worked. I just had a slow drain, which still had some standing water. I was skeptical. Use liquid plumber, which did not work. The thick one that was to clean the walls of the pipe. Did nothing, had to snake it.

It is said that a true rating of an power amplifier for sound reinforcement is 10% of its rating. You can take a speaker that requires that amount of wattage and operate it with said amp. If you have a speaker needing watts between 200-400 watts, get an amplifier who's true rating falls between this setting in either ohms setting (determined by ohms range of spkr) let's say 3000 watt power amplifier = 300 watts of true power and you will not blow woofer out of cabinet. As long as you do not clip power amplifier by over powering it, everything should work. Love to see this theory tested.

Ok, let's try another experiment exactly like NMD's on the previous page. All senior members who actually bother to read, don't post. We'll see how long it takes a "new idea" to be posted.
