i hate to beat the dead horse but i need more enlightenment. i skimmed 20 of the 243 pages and my eyes started to hurt

i saw the episode and i saw with my own eyes the plane taking off.
im assuming im not alone having difficulty grasping the concept even after seeing it. my reasoning (and most likely wrong) is that i had the impression that the prop provides forward motion. forward motion/speed creates airflow over the wings and thus lift.
so its easy to assume on a conveyor forward motion is eliminated and therefore no lift. (lets not talk about the wheels on the ground yet)

so out of curiosity if they got one of those ultralights with the prop on the back which totally eliminates airflow generated by the prop blown to the wings....does it still take off?
thanks

Simple answer, Yes.
The props just pull/push the plane forward.

You should have just asked in the main thread instead of starting a new one.
