This is not the first time it has happened. Think back to the grenade episode. DISCO PULLED IT, because they found fault with it. You can bet that the MB are not the ones that pulled the segment. So if you are going to complain, direct it to the ones responsible. But before doing so remember one thing. They still ended up showing the grenade episode at a later date. So shut up and quit your complaining.
The MB do not owe you anything. NOTHING AT ALL. So fricking deal with it, or shut the hell up!
If you are just one of the fans that are curious as to what happened, and are not being idiots then this post is not directed at you.
MM I am sorry, that the idiots are making life tough for you tonight. Maybe someday they will grow up a little bit.
MM is probably as confused as we are, as evidenced from the first post of the thread.
You have to understand that a lot of people tuned in to see that one particular myth. The big problem is the fact that if Discovery DID pull the treadmill part, then they would have had time before the final cut was produced to change the TV Listing on their VERY OWN WEBSITE. That is the main issue. No explanation, no reasoning, just a bait and switch. That's why people are upset.
Hopefully someone from the show or Discovery will explain.

I agree with Typical. We can complain and cuss all we want but that isn't gonna change a thing. They more then likely have a good reason for pulling it and hopefully they let us know why. I wanted to see the results and hopefully it will be next week or very soon. I have had worse experiances in life and this is nothing of importance.
People people people! Get a life and stop acting like children who didn't get the candy bar they wanted. My God! This is not the end of the world! Stop blaming Adam and Jamie for something they did not do... complain to Discovery who clearly messed up when they left the segment mentioned in the write-up.
For what? You have to pay for something to get a refund. Let me explain something to you, Disco makes its money from advertising, the MB sell the tapes to Disco, So in short, you do not rate anything other than a swift kick in the rear.
Interesting you should use the word "rate" as that is exactly what we do, we rate. We are the reason that Disco writes the checks to MB, we are the ones that have to be pleased, otherwise the lameness that is MythBusters loses its funding, no viewer ratings, no advertising $$$$, no more show.

BUT I have to say, what a DISAPPOINTMENT. Do a cursory search on google on this airplane on a conveyor belt myth and you will see that many, MANY different interest groups ranging from car forums and music forums are interested in this topic. My particular interest group forum, a car forum, is furious about this lie. That is, Discovery advertised this episode to involve the airplane on a conveyor belt and yet it was nothing regarding this myth. On my forum MB is now dubbed as FailBusters and I unfortunately cannot say anything and defend the Myth Busters as I feel they are right.

That's actually just what we want to know. We want someone to step up and explain why we the viewers were told one thing and shown another.
Wow. There was an a amazing amount of people waiting for this episode simply to watch the PoAt. The argument over the myth has reached cult levels. Instead, we are left with a REALLY boring episode of plane and skydiving myths that are all pretty much givens to begin with.
It would have been nice to not be lied to. At the very least, don't advertise what you are not going to give.

You've got several hundred (at least) ticked off fans over at secretot.com. I'm here as an ambassador to let the MB crew and Discovery Channel that we think they suck until they fix it. I bought food and had party for chrissakes!
Oddly enough (and despite my previous post here, which I posted without knowing what PoaT stood for), I'm not disapointed.
I don't get my information on upcoming episodes from Discovery.com, either. I get it from Watching the Discovery Channel, which, btw, never said ANYTHING about a treadmill that I saw.....
My true suspicion: It got cut at the last minute, and someone who edits the Discovery.com page forgot to change things....
Well this is news to me. I've never heard of this myth before or that it would be testing on MB in part due to DVR with ad skipping. It does sound like interesting myth. I have no idea how they would test it.
