Why is it there are a couple of new episodes and then there is a month of repeats?

By the way, loved the Big Rigs Episode. As a trucker, I really appreciate the fact that was pointed out about tailgating trucks... DON'T DO IT!! It is not a pretty sight when a car ends up smashed to the windshield due to it rear-ending a semi.

I am not a member of the cast or crew but I would think it takes weeks to make one and the Mythbusters are cranking them out as fast as they can remember all of them have Jobs and families outside of the TV show.
