Take a look at this .
I clicked on the the "Find" button and found 126 entries for "cable snap".

Trying not to be a crusty old timer but this has been posted many times in future use the find button, this may save you from a flaming.
BTW the man did not die from a "killer cable snap", more than likely from associated blood loss or blood poisoning.

I think you're being a crusty old-timer. Here's why.

A) This is a *new* story, that has not been posted many times. It happened yesterday.

B) If you don't call dying from the blood loss a "killer cable snap," what would be? You wouldn't die from it if it cut your head off, you'd die from "a broken neck." Steve Irwin didn't die from a stingray, he died from a punctured heart.

C) Open forums - online or otherwise - always have individuals who want to put the "not worthy," "not smart," "not relevant" in a basement. I think it has to do with dominance. From reading your recent posts, I can tell that you are that guy. You NEED to be right. You NEED to be smarter, you NEED to prove your existence. Some of your recent gems include:

"Have you ever considered some serious professional help?"
"Drugs are bad mmkay, please try to avoid them or future posts, one cannot have his cake and eat it."
"its not a chatroom it's a blog site .
Quick explanation.
you leave your comment and if someone wants to reply they will.
Your Welcome"
"Doing this will only get you removed from the board,"
"People like you are the reason cast members do not come to this site anymore."
"Take the time check her resume or cv , check yours comment again."

So, do you ever comment on THE SHOW? Please discontinue your irrelevant whining posts and leave the boards to those who would discuss the show.

Thankyou so much for doing research into my former posts.
I respect you for the fact that you have done this.
I do not deny that any of these posts are mine infact im quite happy that somebody registered for 6 days has brought it to my attention.
Perhaps in future if you choose to go into such levels of research you could include the titles of the threads brought into question so other members could know where to find these posts and put them into context.
However lets move on, "killer cable snap" the myth was can a snapped cable cut you in half.
Please advise where in this article it involves somebody being cut in half by a snapping cable.
I will be the first to admit that i have a vested interest in this myth as i work in industry around these cables all the time .
do you?.
As for whether this is a repost yes it has been posted before and at least one other thread exists quoting this story.
AS for your post i like all of us like to be right i do not need to be right and i do not need to bring somebody else down for my own gratification, however this issue has been raised many times and the information is on this site if people know where to look, i for one did not know where to look when i first joined.

As for my quotes the first two are in regards to an individual as to whether the mb's are doing all these test so they can rob a bank.

The next two are regarding a member who left 4 messages in quick succession asking why won't anybody answer me?.

The fifth and sixth comments regarding a member and lewd conduct with an mb.

And the last comment was questioning a mythbusters intelligience.

Yes i do comment on the show as i enjoy it quite a bit and after 15 years in industry as a tradesman i will add information to any myth that i feel i'm able to add something to.

I love the fact that all of my quotes that you have chosen to use were on tongue in cheek or already mythbuster busted topics.
You have decided to call me on my member status, so give me something interesting to sort out and i will use my engineering/ work background to try to help.

nielusa,
I believe that i was only trying to explain my position on this .
I have not been rude, nasty or brought another member down i have merely stated that the information is available if one does a search using the find button.

I was just going to post this link. The fact that *anything* was severed warrants this myth be revisited.

"A landscaper removing shrubs died after a rope pulled by a truck to uproot a stubborn plant snapped and severed his left arm"

Sure it was most likely blood loss or related trauma, but this pretty much confirms the myth.. Still it'd be cool to watch it be duplicated.

Hey, my dads firend used to be a police officer (i think he worked in san fransisco) but he had to clean up after a womon got her head taken off by a broken cable, they tested the myth wrong, they needed to pull the cable untill it broke, not just put it under pressure and cut.

That's what bigmorry has been saying all along.

Also, bigmorry is stating the obvious, the fact that some members can not or will not put his posts into context flies in the face of you claiming to have any intelligence at all.
