I think the concept of the show is great, and i think if it were uninterupted it would be fabulous... I would tune in (or TiVo it at least because it is on too late for me to get to work) every day. But as a yogi, someone who has done yoga for the last 12 years now, yoga should NOT be interupted by commercials.Yog ais a FLOW... all about themind and breathe... and to be abruptly bombarded with "getting ready for their highschool reunion and trying to lose 30lbs" or whatever... it just ruins the experience.

And that's what these shows should be... a REAL experience. Like we are going to a class and getting REAL eperience.

Maybe doing infomercials instead of breakinga show with commercials would be a consideration?

Think about it... it could be pioneering. I would be hooked.

I agree with gowiggle about the commercials on this GREAT new show. The commercials take away from the tranquility of the mind and body. If there is any way that the producers can come up with an idea to do away with them and still keep Namaste on the air it would be better than it already is. I have watched several programs on FITtv and I do believe this is the best yet! It was halfway over when I tuned in but I was captivated by the scenery, narration and music. I will definately be tuning in again. Additionally, I am new to yoga and often feel intimidated at other programs but as I watched the "Extreme Warrior" episode my insecurities faded away. If the other episodes are as wonderful as this one I will be hooked. I've already re-arranged my morning inorder to complete the workout when it repeats later today! All I can say is Fabulous job FITtv!

I agree with the posters above. It is a great show but the commercials interfere. Why not run the commercials at the begining and the end of the show so it can be one flowing experience. That way the commercials are shown and the viewers get the full experience. Just a suggestion. I do enjoy the yoga experience.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I have been doing yoga for years, worked at a yoga school, and this is undeniably the best yoga program I have seen! Most programs focus on one pose over and over again, and the flow in Namaste Yoga is wonderful. Yes, the commercials do interrupt the flow, and in a perfect world, there would be no or limited commercials, but I tape it and play it later and it works pretty well. Beautiful background, inspiring music and the narration is hypnotising. Thank you and Namaste! Kat from KC

Yes, this is a great show. I was ticked when Yoga Zone got dropped, so I feel it's about time they replaced it with a good show. My only beef about it is that there isn't a beginner's demo (like Yoga Zone had). Otherwise it's the best I've seen.

The less Gilad, the better....

love all your posts. The show is wonderful. All of you need to invest in Tivo or a DVR. I have a comcast DVR and record the shows. And about the show the first 5 minutes is warm up, then fast forward to the main body, ( I have no commercials during that part) then fast forward to the cool down, which has been the same since I've been watching it. To the poster that misses Yoga Zone, It's on Lime 2 or 3 times a day, They also have Thai Chi and Rodney Yee. Hope this helps. Peace Cool

If you don't like the commercials just buy the DVD's. They don't sell them through FitTv though, just Google and you will find them.

Namaste Yoga is a good show with a terrible "voice over". The whispering is hard to understand and annoying. I NEED good vocal instruction, and Namaste doesn't provide it. It is not calming, it's frustrating.

Yesterday's show was fun. Warrior routine. First time I ever did Warrior IV. Very interesting, but I didn't fall Wink.

Love the voice over. Just enough-not too much. Sarah Ivanhoe might want to watch, she could learn not to talk so much...And Gilad SUCKS. Big time,I agree!

Swan today. Not bad at all. Triceps and hips felt it very well. It's getting addictive.

For all of you who don't like the commercials, you can do what I did and purchase the first 13 episodes on dvd from namastetv.com. Unfortunately, Omnifilm has no plans to put the second season on dvd.

I do NOT like this show.... for many reasons. I try to do , but when I look to see if my pose is correct, the camera angle is not exactly depicting the pose. Instead, the camera angle seems to be a close up of the models...areas.. I feel like I'm watching porn. Please bring back "breathing space"... better instruction, could see all of the person instructing, slower.

I LOVE this show!!! I was here the other day, and was shocked at all the negative comments about the girls, the "porn" comments, etc. I find this show (except for the commercials, which I choose to continue the prior movements right through until the next sequence comes on) to be extremely helpful. It is nice and quick, yet I get a great workout. Sometimes I am able to come back later in the day and fit in another one. I like the flow, and yes, some of the moves do take getting used to, but that's the case in any yoga "class" or DVD. I have MS, and this has helped me immensely with my flexibility, and for that I am so grateful. Also, it has motivated me to get moving and keep going with my exercise and yoga!!!

I really like the show. I have a couple of yoga dvds in which the instruction is too loud. The sequences aren't relaxing, because the instruction isn't relaxing. I DO need instruction, even though I have done them many times, so I can't turn off the sound. However, I really like the voiceover on this show. It allows me to relax through the sequences.

I love this show! I'm a beginner and its great to do yoga without having all those experts in the classes at the gym making me feel out of place. I would love to see episodes played at different times, like an episode in the later afternoon instead of just in the morning and at noon (I am usually working during these times). I very much enjoy this show and I would like to see more of it!

I really enjoy the show and agree the commercials affect the overall practice. I do sun salutations through them. I also do the cool down through the last commerial break...it's the same for every episode! Smile

just ran across your website and it's definition of yoga, some of which is a bit problematic. that the Yoga Sutra is the "philosophical foundation" of most of the yoga practiced today is way, way off, the world view of classical yoga is a dualistic dead end that was never even popular in India, let alone the modern West. certainly many modern schools want to associate themselves with Patanjali, but only to lend credence to their almost completely Westernized outlook. also equating samadhi with liberation or enlightenment is iffy at best, it literally means "putting together," i.e. conscious merging with the object of meditation. in classical
yoga "liberation" is known as "kaivalya," "aloneness," a step beyond samadhi. and a male practitioner is technically a yogin, not a yogi, and dhyani should be spelled dhyana. i know you have to keep things simple to appeal to a mass audience that has only the vaguest idea about the yoga tradition, but with all your corporate sponsers you should be able to afford to hire someone who can write simply but authoritatively on the subject of yoga. why pass along mistakes and misconceptions when you could truly inform your audience? and tell me, if the Sutras are indeed our philosophical foundation, where on your website do you teach pranayama, pratyahara, dharana and dhyana? It looks to me like it's all asana.

I LOVE THIS SHOW! I agree about the commercials...that kinda sucks. I actually got on the site to see if they had it on a DVD series. I would love to be able to pop it in and do it any time I felt I wanted to. Listen up Fit TV!!!

I agree with everyone about the commercials. No question, that disrupts the flow of the yoga practice. However, I am just thankful that the show is on. This is an incredible program. Truly stands out above others. The reality is we live in a consumer culture and the commercials are what are paying for the show. Let's hope for more new episodes! Smile
