I just saw that show for the first time today, and was wondering when this show was filmed? There was a dog that was rescued on the show named Brownie. It could be some strange coincidence, but she looks a lot like my families dog who was also rescued from an abusive home, and coved in ticks. We got our dog from a family who found her at the humane society, but determined that they couldn’t care for her. When they got here, her name was Brownie.

It would be wonderful if someone new when the episode was filmed, and fantastic if they would let me know.

From what I was able to gather that one was filmed a couple of years ago. Welcome to the world of re-runs.

Well if that is true, then Brownie is now Harley. She is a very happy dog. She is still very skittish and shy around strangers, but she is happy and (most importantly) healthy. I can’t believe that our dog was on TV! Fortunately she is in a much better home, filled with animal lovers.

My cat Isis is an AHS alumnus that has been on TV, the radio, and in newspaper articles. She holds that celebrity status very well and has a great life since I got her from the shelter. She was a 5 month old kitten then but now she is getting ready to celebrate her 9th birthday in a couple of weeks.

She's pretty much the queen of the household and every day bow to her because she's a royal. Isis since day one has pretty much gotten everything she wants and when she gets into trouble, she knows I won't stay mad at her for long. Of course, her brother Icarus gets into trouble a lot more than she does but he too cutes his way out of it. Their sister Jade doesn't seem to get into much trouble. She usually is just a watcher.

Have any of you sent in your stories to the AHS for their 50th anniversary display at the Campus For Compassion? I think the AHS probably got sent a lot of stories. I hope they are mostly cat ones though. Cat and kitten season will be starting soon and no doubt the AHS will be hit with another record breaking season of felines flooding the shelter. There were will probably be plenty of feline cases for the EAMTs to deal with.

It'll be just as heavy for groups like AzCATs as well since they'll be dealing with a lot of feral cats being born as well. They've said they're going to attempt to spay and neuter 10,000 cats this year. That's a pretty big number and will make a small dent in preventing unwanted litters from being born.

Besides the two mentioned, other shelters across the valley will also be dealing with large numbers of cats being brought into their shelters. It'll be interesting to see what totals they'll end up having.
