say jr. get mad at sr. for not finishing something all the way. but the reason sr. left is because he hade to go dilliver a 75,000 doller bike to somewon. who do you think is wright then
Watching the Pauls go at it reminds me of the way my dad and I got along when it came to work projects. My mother finally had to tell us that if I was in charge them he needed to shut up and listen and if he was in charge I needed to shut up and listen. I think it is just the way a father and son work together especially when they think alot like each other.
My father and I worked together for years and never talked to each other like Sr. and Jr. do. I know other fathers and sons that work together and they do not talk to each other like that either.
So that makes it ok to be dysfunctional?
For my ex and his dad, no it wasn't. They were not on speaking terms when his dad passed away. There were other things involved that ended up the biggest contributing factors. The working conditions were just a small part of it.
Phoenix while I totally agree with what you said I think that you misunderstood what I meant by my comment. What I meant was that there are different types of families from nuclear and single to extended and mixed based mostly in a cultural context. All of these families, while different, are just as normal and valid as the next.
As far as the name calling is concerned, Mikey and Jnr seem to take it on the chin and give as good as they get.
While I think that the Teutul's are dysfunctional all of the children, who are adults now, seem to be well adjusted high achievers in their chosen fields.
I could not imagine that Snr would even think of let alone say "Well done Champ" to any of his kids - it wouldnt seem genuine. But that doesnt mean that he does not love them and is not very proud of them all. And it appears plain to all that they love him back.

Mikey is DEFINATELY a "well adjusted high achiever", uhhhhh, but what is his "chosen field"?
He may want to strike out on his own for independence maybe? You know, not being reliant upon his father all of his life - besides I was 26 before I found my niche in life and 32 before I graduated from university for the last time. So there is time for him yet!
