Howdy all,

Got my first tattoo, looks better than I could imagine. The shop I got it done at recommends Lubriderm 3 times daily. Well, being an overachiever, the first two days I did it about 5 times. Will this have any negative effects on clarity, sharpness of the color over my lifetime? I'm VERY happy with the work, and want it to look great for the rest of my life. Will my overzealousness have any detrimental effects later in my life, or should I not worry about it and go back to the recommended 3 times daily?

Thanks!

I did this to except I put to much on only three times a day but I put it on to thick it took forever for it to clear up it had red bumps in it and itched like crazy. It looks just fine no ink damage or anything like that

I have used the lubriderm (no dye, lonolin etc) everyday since I got my first tattoo. Almost everyone of them is at least a year old so I only lotion when I normally would, after every shower, when skin is dry etc...

I think its best to do for the rest of your life; its not going to be some color saving miracle but whats good for your skin cant be bad for the tattoo if youre not having adverse effects.
