Hey im currently getting my Associates degree in Graphic Design but im going to persue my dream to become a tattoo artist after.(Graphic Design is like a back up and a money maker until I can go tattooing fulltime) I currently live in Miami and ive seen the shop plenty of times (love it lol). Anyone hav any tips I can d so I can slowly start and get ready for my tattooing career? Any and all advice is appriciated thanks

Get as much knowledge of the industry as you can, if you want the respect of other artists.Get to know who the current big name artists are(and i'm not talking reality shows) know the history of tattooing.Know the trends and styles eg. biomechanical, ultra realism, bioorganic, cubism, old school, new skool, etc.I did research like this every day for over 6 years.Obviously since you have a degree in graphic design you've got the art factor rolling but keep on practicing your art.Finally and obviously get a apprenticeship, best of luck!
