I've been wanting this tattoo for a really long time of a maltese firefighter emblem to represent my dad and stepdad's time on the fire department and because my bday was 9/11 and it means alot to me. I want the tattoo on my lower back will it hurt and will it cost me alot of money??

All tattoos hurt. The area you refer to is not considered to be one of the more tender spots. Cost will be based on size of the piece and artist. Expect to pay somewhere between 100 and 200 per hour.

I just got my tattoo on my lower back near the base of my spine. It took them 2.5 hours it did not hurt but felt more like an itching sensation. When he got near the base just where ur rear end splits it burned but it didn't hurt. Sounds like a great tattoo do let us see it when ur done.
