Hey everyone,

Just got a new tat last night. Just have a few questions about after care. I got the tat on my upper back, how long should I keep it covered. I got it around 10 last night. I have put neosporin on it and then covered it back up. When is it ok to get it wet in the shower. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks

u should not keep your tattoo covered more than a couple of hours after getting it done. Also u should only put a non sented lostion or sav on your tattoo. U should keep it moist but not to moist,(a thin layer) just put something on it two to three times a day. then after a week u can start to was it with antibacteral soap. it will take about two weeks for it to totally heal.

yup neosporin - dont use it. i use prep h and bepanthen.. bepanthen heals alot quicker. if u cant get any just use soap and warm water 3-5 times a day. only time id cover it is at nights for the first 2 nights so it doesnt stick to your bed sheets lol

My tattoo artist and Kat Von D (look on the msg board) recommend using Aquaphor.
