I've been working on a design for about three years now, and I've finally come to the point where I'm some what satisfied with the design, however I'm no professional. I'm just a freelance artist I guess you can say. I've been trying to find someone that will help me with the completion of my design as it is very important to me. I've got only 29 days left to try to get my design to look just right. It's a piece I've come up with to honor my father after his passing. He passed away almost three years ago on my birthday. As my birthday approaches this year, I feel that it's time for me to do something just for him and I as it is after all my "golden birthday". It would mean so much to me if I can finally get the closure I've been waiting for, for the past three years and I feel that by getting this tattoo just right and having it done at the right time will bring me the peace in my heart that I've been longing for. If anyone out there could direct me to the right artist or would like to volunteer to help me complete my design, please let me know. It'd mean so much to me.
im pretty much new to this site and mainly just like reading all the good advice some of the guys give to others, when theres not a few on here that just trash talk on a daily basis. anyway i just wanted to say that this piece youre almost done with would mean so much more to you if you actually finished it up on your own. its ok to get some good honest opinions but i would definately want a piece thats this important to be my very own thoughts.youve come a long way with this work of art and with the loss of your father so its only fair to the both of you to keep this sacred.remember when youre showing it off you want every detail to come from your heart......exactly where your father remains.
vic21: I'm from Ontario Canada slinginkbiker: I really appriciate you taking the time to reply to my message and I do completely understand what you are saying. At this point I do feel that the design is "complete" but I also feel that it just needs someones extra touch to it, just the curves and the lines and making my design look more symetrical for me, that's all I'm looking for. Even if all I get are some "good honest opinions" from others than that's just great too. My design is very detailed and has come straight from my heart. Although it's taken me three years to complete I never would have imagined that it would have become as great of a piece as it is now. So again, thanks for your reply and your advice.
I'm probably a bit late with my reply but I, personally, agree with slinginkbiker in that this piece is so personal that you really should be the one to complete it. As for needing a bit of help with "fine-tuning" it, a good tattoo artist should be able to help you there. I know in my case, I can go to my artist and show him a picture and discuss an idea I have and he is skilled enough to work with me to design exactly what I want. Let us know how things ended up.
