I am thinking of getting a tattoo in my armpit. but I have heard there can be some complications due to the many sweat glands. Is there anything I should no before going through with this.

All I got to say is OUCH!!!! That has to hurt getting one done there!

I know some people who have tattoos going up into their armpits but not very far...and its mainly filler like starts & dots around a bigger piece.

they have said it hurts worse than elbow, spine etc.

It seems like it would wear in the armpit being there is a lot of friction (like the bottom of your foot) plus deoderant I wonder how that would do with the coloring and all hmmmmmm good luck with this one

I have a dragon's tail that goes about 1/2 an inch beside my armpit and it was probably one of the more painful places I've been tattooed

In terms of sweat glands, I'm not too sure of the issues. I think you should be ok, but your artist would be more qualified to answer.

I have a peice into my armpit (directly in the hair ) sweating will def. be a issue .also b/c of the area you will have to applt what ever oitment you prefer more often and that was one of the worst p[laces i have ever been tattooed
