Huck was only 6 months and an ignorant person hit him, mind you I live in the country where there is no traffic, also a dead end!! This guy came speeding around the corner during my 2 boys birthday parties and Huck(liked to chase cars) was playing with all the kids when this car came speeding around the corner and huck started to chase him, well the guy sped up and hit Huck so hard that he was thrown a couple feet, he died several minutes later with my 5 & 4 year old boys in tears. We miss him so much and this just happened, he was only a baby!! The guy did not even stop to see how Huck was he sped off and the police did nothing about this. My children are devastated and so am I.
Oh my gosh that is horrible!! I am so sorry for this tragedy! That is one of the most horrifying things I've heard in a while. Some people are so cruel and disgusting! I hope you and your children can get over your loss... it is a huge loss!!
That's very sad. I know how you feel. I had a Shetland Sheepdog named Cassie. She was about 4. She had gotten out of our yard. And got hit by a car and staggered of to the side of the road and probably died of shock. Because she didn't look like she got hit. I was so hurt, she was my first dog ever. And what made me very upset, was about 2 weeks later, i was talking to some kids in the neighborhood, that i knew. And they told me that they knew it happened cuz they were playing with her, but they left to go home, and when they came back they saw her get hit, and said the person just drove off. It made me mad because they knew it was my dog, and they just left her there and didn't even do anything.
OMG!!! I'm so sorry for your loss..that's the most tragic thing i've heard in a while. I can relate to this story.
My dog Katie got hit by a car a few weeks ago as well. She also died of severe shock. What really upset me the most was that the person who hit her ran off and didn't come to the office or anything to tell us what had happened. She had gotten loose from the office that day and I just turned my back for five minutes. We called and called her and looked for her for about 2 hours. She had gotten hit by a car and was dying. We rushed her to the vets but didn't get there in time-she died in her crate. It REALLY upset both Dad and myself and I couldn't sleep for days after that incident. I blamed myself cause we couldn't find her in time, plus I needed to watch her and always kept an eye on her. I felt responsible for her death because I didn't watch her like I had been.
About a few days later, we adopted another pup who is just as bouncy and nosey as Katie was. There are times that she does things that reminds me of Katie. She is not a replacement, just a heart filler. But Katie will always be in my heart and I know she's watching over me. We buried her here at the office so I can go to her gravesite whenever I feel like it.
mindless,mindless horrible people.they,ve hit somones family member and think "oh well they,ll get another dog."no thats not it,its that serton dog you love,not just any old dog.my friends dog was shot in the head...SHE LIVED!!hit by a car 2 times...SHE LIVED!!Then some evil person thinks its funny to shot her in the stomach...she died from that.Never got put in jail.im sorry for all your losses
Thats sooo sad!!!!!!!!!! My friend shave a dog that has been rah over 4 times and blinded by there neighbors vicious dogs. She is now blind and deaf, but she gets along just fine. My other friend has a dog her brother found it in the woods, tangled around a tree and half dead of starvation. My dog, Aries, was just a puppy when he and his mother and siblings were rescued. His mothers mouth was wrapped shut with fishing wire, and they we all almost dead of hunger. People who abuse animals make me mad!!!!
