"All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "

I just read the poem and it really is wonderful. In Ky I rescued the dogs no one wanted the blind the old the sick, they are gone now but every one is in our hearts. There is no difference between our rotties to our poms and all those of unknown breds. I miss them terribly. I thank you for the poem.

that poem was great my dog Baloo died the day after christmas last year which also happened to be my youngest daugthers birthbay. I had him snce he was a pup and he was 11 years old. The kids were devestated they have never known life without him. But we have another dog named Belle so that helped a bit.. even she was upset her buddy died. she moped around for days.

Look this may help to some but personally it only made me feel worse. That there In heaven alone, wondering where I am. If you're a pet luver... How could you post this. And it only makes me feel like crying. It didn't help, in fact it worrsened my situation.

ElsieBig Grinied of old age

Bobcat:Got ran over by my friends brother

Very sad. I am sorry for all of you pet owners who have lost a dear friend. Just a month or so ago, I lost my cat Witty. She was too young. But she's in a better place. <3

Thank you for the poem so much! I have lost sooo many pets but the ones that hurt the most are 1 dog, her name was Cheyenne, and 2 cats, named Clidie and Mo. They all dissapeared, Clidie in 2002, Cheyenne in 2003, and Mo in 2005. I know that happened along time ago but it still hurts and the worst part is that I don't know what happened to them! Frown
