I was recently watching a program on a Russian television channel that hypothesized Hitler's suicide was a fake and that he really escaped with Eva Braun to South America. The evidence was basically dental records that didn't match and something about bad body identification. Any thoughts?

Before he shot himself, he ordered his staff burn his body. The only part that remains is the top of his head.

The skulltop that the russians used as a proof that Hitler had shot himself was recently proven to belong to a woman in her 40s...

So that begs to question, did Hitler shoot himself in that bunker, or did he die somewhere else?

It is probably Eva Braun's skull. All of his body was probably destroyed when it was burned.

Eva wasn't that old when she died..She was 33 when she died... That effectively excludes the skull from belonging to her..

Then her body was probably destroyed, too, when the staff burned them.

I haven't said that Hitler neccesseraly escaped to South America.. Infact I find that very unlikely.. I am just saying that the skull russians used to prove his death wasn't from a male, and wasn't from Eva who was in her 30s when she died..

Where Hitlers skull is, if it still exists, is unknown.. And I personally believe he died in the bunker.

A person with Hitler's psychology would not be able to lead a "secret normal" life.

During that brief, but happy period, when Boris Yeltsin was President of Russia he was an ally of the USA. A huge number of KGB documents were turned over to US authorities, or allowed to be reviewed by the US.

Many of these documents, photos of the originals or summaries, can be found in the book "Spies: History of the KGB in America". DAMN! Can't remeber the author's name.

That Hitler escaped and was liveing in the West was a Stalin bit of misinformation. Eastern Europe was being occupied by Soviet forces and it needed to seem more palatable if the old enemy and new enemy were connected.

Bingo. I recently re-read John Toland's two volume "Hilter." There is no way he could be alive. The silence of the years is proof that he's dead.

Stalin was _constantly_ claiming Hitler was still alive, and ordered everyone else to go along with this. I've never been certain if Stalin was just that paranoid or if he was making those claims for political reasons. I know he claimed once Franco was providing refuge to Hitler, and he definitely hated Franco's guts.

Whatever happened, he's dead now.
