Why can't they just let this woman rest in peace?Making this movie to make a few more dollars off someone's untimely death is horrible.

With the inquest still looming ahead in October and all the questions still unanswered, I doubt Diana will be forgotten anytime soon. I also think Diana will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. You must remember, she will always be the mother of the future King Of England, nothing will change that.

The events leading upto the accident would sound really horrifying except for the ending. They were chased by a group of people riding high powered bikes, making it imposible to out-run them. The people chasing them had lots of ammo and armed to the hilt with cameras.
In all fairness I can not say that I knew her, but by the same note, neither can most of the other American people who the only knowledge of her from the same type of media that chased her. Then the same people became outraged, maybe out of guilt, at the people who took photos of a famouse person just like they would if they saw her in public at the time. Another fact of the whole thing was that there where three people in the car that could have had the person driving slow down at any point. Face it, they where much like lemings running off a cliff.

The movie did a great injustice to the memory of Princess Diana. It painted her in a negative light, it did not give us a glimpse into the life of a true woman of class and generosity. The movie also made the father of Dodi look incredibly self-serving and Dodi appear to be no more than a puppet to his father. The interviews with the bodyguards appeared to be genuine. But the makers of the movie certainly did'nt want to bring up any of the known facts that might cast a negative light on the royal family. This movie coming before the inquest into the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi AlFayed seeem to paint a negative image of the both of them.If the British intelligence agencies M15 and M16 were able to keep her under survellence at Kensington Palace and on all of her travels...why not also during her time with Dodi. No one should forget that Diana herself wrote 10 months before her death...predicted her own demise " My husband is planning an accident in my car, brake failure and serious head injury in order to make the path clear for Charles to marry".
What of the white Fiat Uno that brushed Diana's car in the tunnel. The movie made no mention that the car was never found... I am sure that the photographers were horrific, but then again they seemed to know every move before Dodi and Di did..the movie did admit to that. Who was their informer? Possibly the same people planning her death?

I agree, the movie was made based on the opinions and interviews from people that realy did not know her. I dont think the movie made her look the person that we all know and love.

Well, I'm going to get slammed here, but I thought the movie portrayed Diana very realistically. Why do people insist on making her out to be some kind of goddess/hero? She was a manipulative woman who had a lot of issues. The interviews were given by people who knew her, some for a very long period of time.

Thanks Discovery Channel for finally showing the truth.

O.K. so my question to you is. Who are the people interviewed that had known Princess Diana for a long time? Would it be the two newspaper reporters? Perhaps the photographer with the flashy coat? Lets see the bodyguards that worked for Alfayed? Perhaps Henri Paul's best friend from childhood? The massage therapist that knew Diana for a few weeks?
Please tell me which of these people knew her so well.

I don't get people trying to concoct some kind of conspiracy! (like Lifetime's upcoming movie 'The Murder Of Princess Diana')
The driver was under the influence of alcohol (and possible other substances) he was Speeding into a tunnel and he hit a concrete barrier! The only survivor was the only one wearing a seat belt. Bad choices and bad driving led to three people's deaths. Period. Now let the dead rest in peace and let Prince's William and Harry alone!

They were being chased by cameras not bullets and what difference would a few more out of focus shots have made to the "Most Photographed Woman in the World"?

I don't think this movie was made to honor her at all.The people that she really mattered to,and the people that mattered to her, don't need this movie to keep her in their hearts.

To all those who are quick to dismiss Diana's death to an accident...If the Diana conspiracy is classed as just one of many theories, it must soon be discredited with the rest. My questions are.. What about the small white car that some saw in the tunnel? Even though it was apparently hit... the car was never found. Why should the driver, drunk or sober be in the pay of the secret services? Why did it take so long to transport her to the hospital? What about the speed at which the tunnel was cleaned, and why were mercedes mechanics not allowed to examine the car? Drunk or sober an agent has his uses. Diana herself claimed that there was a plot to kill her in a car crash less than a year before she died, and the method staple is a staple of secret services world the over.
If any death suspicious should be investigated, why not that of Princess Diana, and an inquest is under way. It would not be if all these and more questions had answers.

Its terribly sad and tragic that those poor boys lost their mother. It must be very disturbing to them that so many of the British population believe that she was murdered...I hope that the inquisition gives closure to them, as well as to "conspiracy theorist" like myself.
