Steve Irwin's passing has been incredibly hard for me, and a bit shocking. I did not know Steve, but I feel like I have lossed a family member. I am so inspired by him and I feel an obligation to continue his misson, not an obligation, but an honor and privelage. I almost did not write in to express my condolences because there are so many, and I am just one person, surely someone has had my thoughts. How significant would mine be if they were expressed by others. Then I began to think about Steve and his family, and I realized that Steve was just one person, and if he would have not spoken, not expressed himself, we would not have had the education about conservation and animals, and we would have not fallen in love and been inspired to change this world. Thank you Steve! I am sorry it has taken me so long. To Steve's family and friends, I pray for you every night and have all confidence you are going to continue to make your beloved Steve proud, just as the rest of us are! I hope that Bindi will continue her plans to have a TV show, I am sure that is what Steve would have wanted.
One day I hope to visit Australia Zoo, and pay my respects in person. My daughter and I have adopted 2 animals in Africa and plan to do much more, as a small token. My heart is broken, just as millions of others, but in time will heal. Every time I can help with conservation, I will think of the Irwins and thank them for waking up this world, and my family. I am sorry it has taken this long and so sorry it had to take a tragic event to light the fire to get things started. My challenge to all of Steve's fans is to do something, speak out and do it with passion, just as he did! You are one person and are able to change this world, let's join together and help continue Steve's mission. We love you Terri, Bindi, and Bob

I love your condolense letter. Thank you. My daughter is in gymnastics at the YMCA and at the end of meeting, which is twice a week, they pray where each of the members state a specific prayer request. I am so proud, because my daughter, with everything else she could pray for, has requested prayer for Steve's family and close friends. I am so proud of her. She does, however, see the pain I express every night through tears of sorrow for Terri, Bindi, baby Robert, father Robert, Wes, and all of Steve's close mates. The world will hill; however, it will never be the same. I feel like I will awaken one morning to find this was just a nightmare. I wih this was the case. How do we heal, how do we cope, how do you move on and accept that a major part of your everyday life is gone and will never return except for in reruns and whatever Terri has the strength to continue with. I mentioned in an earlier response that I truly wish Animal Planet would compile CD's of Steve's works, including his memorial service. I feel this is owed to Steve and his family, as well as the airing of Bindi's show, which I have never had the honor of viewing. Love you Terri, God is with you and so is the spirit of Steve. You have so many behind you to support you, please don't give up. Do what Steve would expect and carry on his legacy.
