When someone mentioned the "crocodile hunter" had been killed, I jumped to the WRONG conclusion it was Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan. Although he is a fine actor, his impact on the animal kindom does not have the same significance as Steve.

Unfortunately, I only discovered his shows a few short months ago. His love for animals was obvious. He will be sorely missed by his family, co-workers as well as fans all over the world.

If thoughts and prayers can bring some measure of consolation, believe millions share your loss and wish we could do more.
