The only other time I've felt grief at the loss of a celebrity was the death of Princess Diana. Both Steve and Princess Diana were great humanitarians, in spite of any faults, and people could identify with them because they were such real people, in spite of their celebrity. My son and I felt like we knew the whole Irwin family, they are just so geniune on television. Our hearts go out to Terri, Bindi, and Bob, and the entire staff at the Zoo, and everyone else who watched and loved Steve Irwin and his family from afar bring a little bit of adventure into our living rooms, and give us something decent to watch with our kids every night.
