Steve has been and will always be a huge influence for me chosing a degree in Animal Biology...This year I will be graduating and I can't believe that an icon that inspired me to do it, will not be alive....His passion and love for what he did gave me so much hope in my hard times to continue on....I will miss you greatly...and I pray for your family in this time of great sadness. Crikey Steve, who will replace you? you were such a beaut....RIP
My heart cries for your beautiful young widow and family, especially Baby Bob who will not remember you the way Bindi will. Tragically, he will not learn from you about the awesome world he lives in. But don't worry, Steve. Terri and Bindi will carry on your work, and they will make sure Baby Bob knows exactly who his father was. It looks to me like Bindi is just like you. This means you have a wonderful warrior growing up who will be more than ready to inherit your legacy. I am praying for all who love you; that love will never end. Know that if they could, the animals would cry for you too. May you rest in peace, dear warrior.
I'm with you, he was a big part of what inspired me to go back to school for Wildlife Biology. I still can't believe it, I guess I always thought of him as being invincible... I know that sounds silly.
So I posted this right before I went to Phx, I visited the phx. zoo there and hada a great time visiting the bearded dragon exhibit. My own beardie would have been jealous...I tried the alligatorallan site...didnt come up ...I am still grieving..as Bob said though, I grieve for the animals that have lost such a close friend...
