Frown I got the news late Sundat night (AZ, USA time)I couldn't/didn't believe what the news anchor was saying!! I was in complete shock. I rushed to the internet to see if what I thought I heard was true. I was so heartbroken to see in black & white the unfortuante news; I cried myself to sleep. My prayers and thoughts are with all of his friends, family, collegues, and every species he encountered. I can't say that the news has truly sunk in. He taught me & my son so much about the wildlife. He has defeinatly made his mark on wildlike conservation. We love you all!! Thank you so much for the wonderful knowledge and memories.

Steve Irwin was my hero. His passion was infectious and watching him always made me smile. Today I thought about the time he found the hedgehog and I couldn't help but laugh. The pure joy on his face is something I will never forget. The world is a bit emptier now.

My prayers go out to his family, co-workers and friends.

Although I may not know the grief you are going through I pray for your strength and courage. As we were watching the unbelieveable news yesterday my children said losing Steve is like losing a family member. We are all so stunned and know that this is your darkest day but with the spirit that he had we know that he is with Angels singing and wrapped in God's love as are you. Terri, Bindi, Robert, and Bob. Steve changed so many peoples thoughts about nature and his life was one in which no one will be able to replace. May God Bless you All.

My heart prayers go out to Terri and the 2 children of Steve. He has been in our homes since he started and he will be missed. I too love what Steve has done for the animals and all species. He was an amazing man and he will be missed by so many. I didn't no him personally but knew him through the care he had for God's creatures.
Again my prayers to the family and friends that surround him and God bless to all.

I was shocked when I heard the news of Steve Irwin. To me it was like losing a dear friend having gotten to know him so well on his shows. He will be sorely missed. I had long wanted to visit his zoo in Austraila and see him in action with his beloved crocodiles. He educated so many about the beauty of animals. It definitely won't be the same without his animated and adventurous spirit. We love you Steve Irwin.

I was up late Sunday night (Monday in Australia) and went to CNN.com to check the latest news. I saw Steve's picture and the word "dead" and immediately closed my browser. I opened it again and went back to make sure what I saw was true. I almost broke into tears immediately. I read the story and broke down. I have a ten year old daughter who (because I am an avid Steve Irwin fan) grew up with the Crock Hunter. I couldn't (and still can't) believe he's gone. I grew up terrified of croks and snakes and spiders.....but I gained a respect for them through Steve. He was truly a great educator of animals that are usaually thought of as "bad" or "dangerous". I'm still in shock and can't believe he's gone.

My sadness extends to Terri, Bindi, and Bob. I can't imagine what they are going through, but only hope that by all the outpouring of love and emotion from all those that cared for and looked up to Steve helps in some way.

My daughter has thought of nothing but Teri, Bindi, and Bob. She understands what a great loss they have suffered.

We send all our thoughts and love to Steve's family. He was a truly great educator and person!!

To Dearest Terri, Bindi and Bob,
From our family to yours we send our depest sympathies in the passing of a truly down to earth, caring individual and a beaming, proud and feeling husband and father.
I say, "As long as the legacy of the union of Steve and Terri continues through the unselfish giving to people all over the world then Steve has not left us, but walks with his family on a different plain, but will always walk with those he loves." Terri, you are indeed fortunate and deserve to have a partner like Steve and you always will. It is evident that he sincerely loves his wonderful family and the life you chose together. Our blessings are with you and always will be. A Canadian believer in all the Irwin family stood for and taught. Forever greatful

Frown I wish to send my deepest condolences to Terri, Bindi, Robert "Bob", Steve's dad Bob, Wes and the rest of the Zoo staff. My boyfriend had woke me on Monday to tell me that Steve Irwin had died. I was so upset to learn of his death that I actually threw my tv across the room. We had been planning a trip to the Zoo for our hooneymoon next year to meet Steve and Terri, now I will never get the chance to meet the most wonderful man in the world. I wish for everyone at the Zoo to know that they are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know Steve will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN and will ALWAYS BE MISSED. God speed Steve!

i cried until 3 in the morning... because steve irwin was, and still is, the only hero i have ever had. i had planned to finish college here in the US and move to AU to work with him at his zoo. steve has been my motivation to continue pursuing wildlife conservation and i have never felt so regretful to have never sent him a letter to tell him. i just want others to know- his work has touched me and continues to everyday... and touches others as well. he is the driving force behind my activism for animals. to terri, bindi and robert- my deepest condolences go out to each of you. steve was more than a man with passion. he was the voice for the underdogs- animals.

There is a quote which comes to mind for me when I think of Mr. Irwin. It is "I am a part of all that I have met." Lord Tennyson spoke those words and he never knew Steve Irwin but Steve is the first person to come to mind to me when I hear it. He was a part of this world-a part of nature, a part of each creature residing here on earth, a part of all of our homes (through the television) and a part of the joy we all experienced while watching the croc hunter. He brought much laughter and happiness to me, my husband, and our children. We all loved him very much and will truly miss that "part of us." God bless the family within his home and the zoo-his home away from home. What a joy it was to have known him in the way we did--ohhh, the sadness you all must be feeling having truly been close to him.

My family enjoyed watching Steve on Animal Planet over the years. When I heard the news of Steve's death, I cried for all of you. Terri, Bindi, Bob, Steve's Dad and all his family & friends including his animal family.....my heart goes out to you.
I lost my son five years ago and I know first hand what heartache is. My son was a huge fan of Steve's and he loved animals and wildlife. Perhaps my son, Danny has welcomed Steve to Heaven and they are both enjoying all the animals that have crossed Rainbow Bridge into a peaceful animal kingdom in Paradise.
My most heartfelt sympathy to the Irwin family. May God give you His strength to get through this journey of grief. And may Steve's precious spirit ~ surround you with his love.....a love that even death cannot destroy.
Steve - job well done Mate. Shower us with your blessings from above.

hi, my husband & I would like to share our greatest sympathies to Terri, Sweet little Bindi, & baby Bob.
I'm usually good with words but right now Iam not, he has touched my life in a way I don't have words for. So instead I will put sympathy thoghts in this. . .

Loving them was easy. Losing them is not.
They may pass from this earth, but not from our hearts.
We're thinking of you. And want you to know
how much we care.
One person lives. Many lives are touched
With Sympathy.
Hearts remember the love they felt the most.
With love and remembrance.
(this one is for Terri & the kids)
Wrapped in every memory is the love you
shared.
(This is for Terri, Bless you)
Until you two meet again. May you be blessed with sweet memories of the one you love.
(Another for Terri)
In your time of loss, remember that love lives forever.
During this time of loss, may the fluid eternity of the human spirit bring peace and healing to your heart.
Reaching out to you at this lonely time...
Just to let you know that we share your grief, as do many millions of others.
Our thoughts are with you in this time of sadness. May you find comfort in the enduring beauty of all the God's world, and in the warmth of happy memories. With the passing of time, may the spirit of acceptance and inner peace enfold you.
With our deepest sympathy...May the Lord & Lady hold you in Thier hands and comfort your spirit during your time of need.
We are filled with sadness at your great loss.
Please know how much we grieve with you.

As we read & watch what's being put out there, we grieve. I Pray that you Terri will be able to continue on with what Steve has started. I also pray that you Little Sweet Bindi will be able to follow in your daddys footsteps, they are big (grins) but I know that with your brother you will do just fine.

Love & Prayers go out to all you in the family & the lives he touched in his life. He surely has touched ours & he will not be forgotten.

Teresa & Brian Lakin.

Terri, Bindi, and Bob,
I am so sorry for your loss! Please know that Steve will be very missed. He was a great conservationist and did so much to change the minds of so many people. My family has a different view of snakes, spiders, and crocodiles because of Steve and his work. Thank you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have so much to express but no words to say it. You can´t imagine how I feel about this awful fact, the world have lost an hero.
I learned a lot of him and his love for the natural world, and I´m pretty sure he had no idea that his lovely character would impact the entire world.
I would like to send my condolences and prays to his family and friends, you have to continue with his cause.

Terri, and family
I have already posted my heart felt sorrow for you and yr family, but my 9 yr old son William would like to say his own.. God Bless..
Terri, and kids, I am 9 years old and have been watching Steve since I can remember. At the age of 5 I got my 1 st ball phython, now I have 3 and a corn snake, I owe my love for reptiles all to Steve, My Mom never touched a snake till after I got mine. Our whole family has become aware of the lov you can carry for all living creaturs, and the care u must take while handing them, this is all due to Steve's teachings. Steve is and always will be my friend, mentor and a part of my family, and always in my heart. I want to be a reptile vet. when i grow up. My dream was to always meet Steve, and visit the zoo he n family has built, but i belive Steve and i already know each other through heart. You and your family must be so proud of all his work and the lov he has given to millions. He will always be remembered and dearly loved by all mankind and creatures. In time to come the impact on his teachings will save millions of animals, that was his goal. Steve will live on forever through our memories and our hearts. I will truly miss him. Please take care of your self and the kids.
yours truly

Father Earth, who will provide for us, now that you are gone? You did so very much. So very much for the wild things. So much more than your, "Crocodile Hunter," persona.
I thank you, and, I mourn your loss. I also ache for your friends and family, who loved you so. I hope that there is a heaven, and, that you can find a way to continue your work from higher ground.

We watched as Steve's family grew, one member at a time over the years, and we grew to love each of you. Rarely does any man touch the entire world with his enthusiastic love for life and the world around him. We will sorely miss him. We will continue to pray for you Terri, Bindi, Bob and family. May the Lord comfort you.
