I got the news late Sundat night (AZ, USA time)I couldn't/didn't believe what the news anchor was saying!! I was in complete shock. I rushed to the internet to see if what I thought I heard was true. I was so heartbroken to see in black & white the unfortuante news; I cried myself to sleep. My prayers and thoughts are with all of his friends, family, collegues, and every species he encountered. I can't say that the news has truly sunk in. He taught me & my son so much about the wildlife. He has defeinatly made his mark on wildlike conservation. We love you all!! Thank you so much for the wonderful knowledge and memories. -Tiffany & Elijah in AZ, USA

Steve Irwin was my hero. His passion was infectious and watching him always made me smile. Today I thought about the time he found the hedgehog and I couldn't help but laugh. The pure joy on his face is something I will never forget. The world is a bit emptier now.
My prayers go out to his family, co-workers and friends.

Although I may not know the grief you are going through I pray for your strength and courage. As we were watching the unbelieveable news yesterday my children said losing Steve is like losing a family member. We are all so stunned and know that this is your darkest day but with the spirit that he had we know that he is with Angels singing and wrapped in God's love as are you. Terri, Bindi, Robert, and Bob. Steve changed so many peoples thoughts about nature and his life was one in which no one will be able to replace. May God Bless you All.

My heart prayers go out to Terri and the 2 children of Steve. He has been in our homes since he started and he will be missed. I too love what Steve has done for the animals and all species. He was an amazing man and he will be missed by so many. I didn't no him personally but knew him through the care he had for God's creatures. Again my prayers to the family and friends that surround him and God bless to all. From the Schwieger Family Grand Island, NE

I was shocked when I heard the news of Steve Irwin. To me it was like losing a dear friend having gotten to know him so well on his shows. He will be sorely missed. I had long wanted to visit his zoo in Austraila and see him in action with his beloved crocodiles. He educated so many about the beauty of animals. It definitely won't be the same without his animated and adventurous spirit. We love you Steve Irwin.

I was up late Sunday night (Monday in Australia) and went to CNN.com to check the latest news. I saw Steve's picture and the word "dead" and immediately closed my browser. I opened it again and went back to make sure what I saw was true. I almost broke into tears immediately. I read the story and broke down. I have a ten year old daughter who (because I am an avid Steve Irwin fan) grew up with the Crock Hunter. I couldn't (and still can't) believe he's gone. I grew up terrified of croks and snakes and spiders.....but I gained a respect for them through Steve. He was truly a great educator of animals that are usaually thought of as "bad" or "dangerous". I'm still in shock and can't believe he's gone.
My sadness extends to Terri, Bindi, and Bob. I can't imagine what they are going through, but only hope that by all the outpouring of love and emotion from all those that cared for and looked up to Steve helps in some way.
My daughter has thought of nothing but Teri, Bindi, and Bob. She understands what a great loss they have suffered.
We send all our thoughts and love to Steve's family. He was a truly great educator and person!!

To Dearest Terri, Bindi and Bob, From our family to yours we send our depest sympathies in the passing of a truly down to earth, caring individual and a beaming, proud and feeling husband and father. I say, "As long as the legacy of the union of Steve and Terri continues through the unselfish giving to people all over the world then Steve has not left us, but walks with his family on a different plain, but will always walk with those he loves." Terri, you are indeed fortunate and deserve to have a partner like Steve and you always will. It is evident that he sincerely loves his wonderful family and the life you chose together. Our blessings are with you and always will be. A Canadian believer in all the Irwin family stood for and taught. Forever greatful

I wish to send my deepest condolences to Terri, Bindi, Robert "Bob", Steve's dad Bob, Wes and the rest of the Zoo staff. My boyfriend had woke me on Monday to tell me that Steve Irwin had died. I was so upset to learn of his death that I actually threw my tv across the room. We had been planning a trip to the Zoo for our hooneymoon next year to meet Steve and Terri, now I will never get the chance to meet the most wonderful man in the world. I wish for everyone at the Zoo to know that they are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know Steve will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN and will ALWAYS BE MISSED. God speed Steve! i cried until 3 in the morning... because steve irwin was, and still is, the only hero i have ever had. i had planned to finish college here in the US and move to AU to work with him at his zoo. steve has been my motivation to continue pursuing wildlife conservation and i have never felt so regretful to have never sent him a letter to tell him. i just want others to know- his work has touched me and continues to everyday... and touches others as well. he is the driving force behind my activism for animals. to terri, bindi and robert- my deepest condolences go out to each of you. steve was more than a man with passion. he was the voice for the underdogs- animals. rachael in SF, California

There is a quote which comes to mind for me when I think of Mr. Irwin. It is "I am a part of all that I have met." Lord Tennyson spoke those words and he never knew Steve Irwin but Steve is the first person to come to mind to me when I hear it. He was a part of this world-a part of nature, a part of each creature residing here on earth, a part of all of our homes (through the television) and a part of the joy we all experienced while watching the croc hunter. He brought much laughter and happiness to me, my husband, and our children. We all loved him very much and will truly miss that "part of us." God bless the family within his home and the zoo-his home away from home. What a joy it was to have known him in the way we did--ohhh, the sadness you all must be feeling having truly been close to him.

My family enjoyed watching Steve on Animal Planet over the years. When I heard the news of Steve's death, I cried for all of you. Terri, Bindi, Bob, Steve's Dad and all his family & friends including his animal family.....my heart goes out to you. I lost my son five years ago and I know first hand what heartache is. My son was a huge fan of Steve's and he loved animals and wildlife. Perhaps my son, Danny has welcomed Steve to Heaven and they are both enjoying all the animals that have crossed Rainbow Bridge into a peaceful animal kingdom in Paradise. My most heartfelt sympathy to the Irwin family. May God give you His strength to get through this journey of grief. And may Steve's precious spirit ~ surround you with his love.....a love that even death cannot destroy. Steve - job well done Mate. Shower us with your blessings from above. Sadly Arlene from N.J. hi, my husband & I would like to share our greatest sympathies to Terri, Sweet little Bindi, & baby Bob. I'm usually good with words but right now Iam not, he has touched my life in a way I don't have words for. So instead I will put sympathy thoghts in this. . .
Loving them was easy. Losing them is not. They may pass from this earth, but not from our hearts. We're thinking of you. And want you to know how much we care. One person lives. Many lives are touched With Sympathy. Hearts remember the love they felt the most. With love and remembrance. (this one is for Terri & the kids) Wrapped in every memory is the love you shared. (This is for Terri, Bless you) Until you two meet again. May you be blessed with sweet memories of the one you love. (Another for Terri) In your time of loss, remember that love lives forever. During this time of loss, may the fluid eternity of the human spirit bring peace and healing to your heart. Reaching out to you at this lonely time... Just to let you know that we share your grief, as do many millions of others. Our thoughts are with you in this time of sadness. May you find comfort in the enduring beauty of all the God's world, and in the warmth of happy memories. With the passing of time, may the spirit of acceptance and inner peace enfold you. With our deepest sympathy...May the Lord & Lady hold you in Thier hands and comfort your spirit during your time of need. We are filled with sadness at your great loss. Please know how much we grieve with you.
As we read & watch what's being put out there, we grieve. I Pray that you Terri will be able to continue on with what Steve has started. I also pray that you Little Sweet Bindi will be able to follow in your daddys footsteps, they are big (grins) but I know that with your brother you will do just fine.
Love & Prayers go out to all you in the family & the lives he touched in his life. He surely has touched ours & he will not be forgotten.

Terri, and family I have already posted my heart felt sorrow for you and yr family, but my 9 yr old son William would like to say his own.. God Bless.. Terri, and kids, I am 9 years old and have been watching Steve since I can remember. At the age of 5 I got my 1 st ball phython, now I have 3 and a corn snake, I owe my love for reptiles all to Steve, My Mom never touched a snake till after I got mine. Our whole family has become aware of the lov you can carry for all living creaturs, and the care u must take while handing them, this is all due to Steve's teachings. Steve is and always will be my friend, mentor and a part of my family, and always in my heart. I want to be a reptile vet. when i grow up. My dream was to always meet Steve, and visit the zoo he n family has built, but i belive Steve and i already know each other through heart. You and your family must be so proud of all his work and the lov he has given to millions. He will always be remembered and dearly loved by all mankind and creatures. In time to come the impact on his teachings will save millions of animals, that was his goal. Steve will live on forever through our memories and our hearts. I will truly miss him. Please take care of your self and the kids. yours truly William age 9 upstate New York

I thank you, and, I mourn your loss. I also ache for your friends and family, who loved you so. I hope that there is a heaven, and, that you can find a way to continue your work from higher ground.

We watched as Steve's family grew, one member at a time over the years, and we grew to love each of you. Rarely does any man touch the entire world with his enthusiastic love for life and the world around him. We will sorely miss him. We will continue to pray for you Terri, Bindi, Bob and family. May the Lord comfort you.
Psa 121:1-8 1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where shall my help come from? 2 My help comes from Jehovah, who made Heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 Jehovah is your keeper; Jehovah is your shade on your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 Jehovah shall keep you from all evil; He shall keep your soul. 8 Jehovah shall keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Terri, Bindi and little Bob-I can not create the words to express my saddness and sympathy over the death of our beloved Crocodile Hunter. To fans he may have been "our" Crocodile Hunter but he was your Husband, father and friend and his loss is unmeasurable and indescribable. I was terrified of crocodiles before I became enthrolled by this over the top ball of energy Australian known as Steve Irwin. But then I watched him on tv and realized that crocodiles were amazing creatures and need to be protected as well as admired. Steve can now do more of what he did best watch over all the Crocs in the world and know that he is still with you and your children. My best to you in this time. -April Hodel Gloversville NY

To Terri, Bindy , and Bob Irwin: My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to you and your children, Mrs. Irwin. When my family and I first heard of the tragic news of Steve's death we felt as though we had lost a member of our own family. I cried, my son cried, and my wife cried. No one can take away the pain and bereavement that you must feel but our Heavenly Father. We have truly lost a great human being, a father, husband , and son and even Heaven is improved by his presence there. I know that you may never see this message, Mrs.Irwin, but just know that you, your children, Steve's father, and the entire Australian Zoo staff will forever be in the thoughts and prayers of me and my entire family. Our tears will dry some day but, as for me and my family, we will always remember what a truly magnificent person Steve was and always will be.My heart is broken.

I could not believe when I heard the news about Steve. I have been watching his show since the beginning and I was instantly hooked on the show and him. It was amazing the way that he dealt with animals and spent his life saving them. He has made my love of animals grow and taught me how beautiful some of the most feared animals can be. He will be very missed. I'm so sorry to his family, his friends, and his fans.

My wife, daughter, and I are huge fans of Steve Irwin. Not just the man but also the meaning of his message. As he was always pointing out, if we knew the animals, we would want to save them. That's how we live live our lives in our own small way and thnaks to Steve Irwin, the world is a much better and wiser place, when it comes to animals. He will be missed but I know his legacy will live on. Our condolences to his beautiful family and to his friends and coworkers and to all of us who will miss him deeply.

I can't help but weap every time I think of Steve Irwin. All i know is that he is in a better place. It's hard for me to understand why it was his time to go, but I believe that God needs him more than we do. He accomplished so muchin his life. His goal was to raise awareness of wildlife and i would say he far exceded anyone's expectations. He now has Bindi and Bob to carry to carry on his mission and I cannot wait to see what adventures they will take us on. Not only did Steve teach us to love and care for crocs and other reptiles, but he taught us to love wildlife all over the world. He also taught me to love those around me and go for my goals at a hundred miles an hour and shoot fot the stars, whether I want to save crocs or open my own donut shop. I don't see him as just a friend, but also a father figure and a mentor. He enriched my life greatly. So much that I no longer have arachniphobia. I find myself curious rather than frightened. I have always loved wildlife and it was Steve Irwin who helped me understand it and of course he made me laugh along the way. I will miss him greatly. He was one great Bloke and I hope to remember him by how he lived and not by how he died. I will make my donations to "the crickey fund" as soon as it is up and running. My name is Zach I am 21 and I will carry a part of Steve, Terri, Bindi, and Bob Irwin in my heart forever. Love Zach

"I have no fear of losing my life - if I have to save a koala or a crocodile or a kangaroo or a snake, mate, I will save it. " - Steve Irwin-
Steve Irwin devoted his whole life to educate people on the importance of conservation of habitat and the preservation of Endanged species, his Effort's to educate people and his contribution not only to the natural world, but also to the human population will carry on with his children and all those whos lives he changed, his words and actions will carry on, and some day his dreams will be fulfiled by the ones who care like he did. I for one will never forget what he stood for, he didnt stand for war or politics, he stood for what is really important, and that is the conservation and rehabilitation of the Earth. steve's death affects the whole world, but because of all the people that love him, and believe in his cause, his legacy will live on forever.
Goodbye steve

To dearest Terri, Bindi and Bob, Our family sends yours our deepest sympathies. The years we've spent watching your program shows that even in this his passing Steve is and always will walk beside his first and greatest love, his family. His birth certificate may say Australian, but his love of all living things made him and his family a true citizen of the world. I will always watch Steve's programs because they are timeless, thrilling, entertaining but most of all humanly educational. His passion for all living things makes one feel a bond with your family that comes from the heart. Steve's love for his family will never be allowed to leave the space beside you empty. Our love from a Canadian family for the legacy of the Irwin Family.

Omigod. After two full days, we are still in disbelief that this tragedy has occurred. Why Steve? He could be the best mentor of our generation - not only for the sake of our planet's animals but for our planet's humans to follow after... in the ways of the enthusiam and passion he exuded for life, his positive outlook on all things, and the TRUE LOVE he let shine through in his everyday being. ...that smile. Terri, you are so forunate to have had Steve with you every day - your life must be incredibly richer because of it. I cannot imagine the loss for you and your children. From TV, we all know he loved you at first sight. You are a beautiful family, and I cry for you now knowing you will ache for the one we all admire so deeply. Time will heal this wound, but in time, we will NEVER forget this awesome man. He has IMPACTED THE WORLD, and we will find a way to grow from here. We won't disappoint him - his legacy lives on... CROCS RULE! Between tears, Lake Placid, FL (USA)
