I would also like to express my deepest condolences to Terri,Bindi, Bob, as well as the rest of Steve's family and team. I pray that God be with you all in this difficult time.
-What Steve Irwin meant to me:
Steve like we all know was a very fortunate man who new his purpose in life and lived life to its fullest. He worked for conservation but in the process entertained millions and opened the darkest corners of our hearts to his world and passion for the beauty of nature. We all greatly appreciate what the croc hunter did for his many fans and he will sorely be missed...

My husband and I could not believe the news yesterday morning. He and I have been fans since the first airings of the Crocidile Hunter in the US, all those years ago. It is a great loss to the world. He was always himself, in everything he did and said. His entire heart, soul and being was the way he lived his live and loved his family. As a teacher, I am always saddened when the world looses a great teacher - he taught the rest of the world conservation is important for us and for the future of our children. Now that he is gone, we have his example and his lessons to follow. He was a wonderful conservationist, wildlife protector, educator and parent. Our thoughts and prayers are with Teri, Bindi, Bob, the entire Irwin family and friends.

I cannot stop crying.... even though, I didn't know him personally, I feel like I have just lost my best friend.I loved him so and now,it feels like part of me has been torn away forever. This planet has just lost a man so special that he can NEVER be replaced, no matter how hard they try.He is the kind of a man that only comes around once in a lifetime.
I love you Steve, Terri, Bindi and Bob

Steve was a stranger on a show in reality but he was very real to me and I cared about him and what he had to say. He shared his passion for his family, his passion for life, and for animals so genuinely and for that I am grateful.

He was a wonderful man with a very special personality.

His lovely and beautiful family is in my thoughts and in my prayers - I wish there were more I could give than my condolences since the Irwin family has given so much more than that to me and millions of others.

... still shocked....

I'm 27 and I can't remember a celebrity death that has impacted me in this way since Princess Diana passed in the fall of 1997.

I'm a daddy's girl. So, my thoughts go immediately to Mr. Irwin's daughter.

I dislike Oprah and to this day, there is only one show I'll quote to friends. Many years ago, I saw Mr. Irwin on Oprah explaining that the name of his daughter was a combo of the names of his fave croc and his dog.

Raw honesty... heart warming, endearing, Blessed.

I'm not a religious person but I have no doubt that Mr. Irwin's soul isn't somewhere peaceful right now. He had a light around his life and I send good energy the way of his family that the same light continues to guide their way.

How horrible when a life is cut short... the complexities of which are only magnified by the cameras.

Be with this family as they celebrate the life and mourn the tragic loss of their father, son, brother, husband, mentor, hero, and friend.

Thank you for caring Steve!!! Please know that you made a difference!! You won't be forgotten.

To the Irwin family,
I am so sad to hear of the death of such a wonderful man. My family feels like we lost a loved one. He was a genuine person with a heart of gold. Anytime we had a hard day, we would put on the Crocodile Hunter and Steve could always make you smile. He knew what was important in life. He will be missed so badly. God bless you Terri, Bindi, and Bob and Steve's parents. You are in my prayers and thoughts. Love, The Guillemette family

Half a planet away, I grieve over the death of a man I never met, who, with his zest for life and love for all living things, engendered a greater appreciation and enjoyment for our world in millions of people. That’s no small contribution. Terri was a lucky woman to share life with such a special man. I will miss him, as will millions of others. What a rare legacy he leaves behind, both his visible contributions and the ones less public. Thanks and love to his family. K. Hadley, Clearwater, Florida U.S.A.

It seems to be such a small thing to offer our prayers and heart felt condolences to Terri, Bindi, Bob, the Irwin family and to Steve's extended family, his friends and coworkers. Our hearts want to express so much more but it is impossible to give the best words. We offer our love, prayers, and our thanks for sharing this man with us. He was a hero in the truest sense in that he gave all of him self, for his love of all animals and especially of his love for his family and his friends. He will be missed but he will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in his devotion to his work and his extreme devotion to his loved ones. God bless you all and may you find some small comfort in all of the words and thoughts expressed by the millions of people around the world. We share your grief and hope that in this we can take a very small part of the heavy load from you. I believe deeply that not only is Steve in a loving place but he is sharing it with all the animals of the heavens.

Much heart felt sympathy to Steve's family, and much love that will remain in our hearts and memorys of the Croc Man himself. I give thanks for having him in our life, though it was short,
he covered many facts about our wild life. His
dedication, and his determination to stand for this love and the way of life he so lived with
such enthusiasm and conviction. He will be met by many creatures and lead up to the reward we all will reunite and again and share the love
we have had and still have for this unique soul with the heart of gold, and the selfless
way he shared his knowledge with us. I believe he would want us all to spread the word .piddle

Heartfelt prayers go out to Terri, the children and the staff at Steve's zoo and Wildlife Warriors. Steve's teachings made such an impact on me and my family's life. We now own two snakes, a chinchilla and a two parrots along with our normal dogs and cats. His enlightment of wildlife conservation prompted me to get involved with the docent program at our local zoo.

I'm sure at the moment this tragedy happened... there was silence heard in the animal world. Steve will be deeply missed and never replaced. He touched so many hearts across the globe. His life was truly a blessing to so many.

This is a very sad time for everyone. We have lost a great man. He has done so much for the animal world. He was a super nice guy, he seemed to be a great father and husband. we were very lucky to have Steve as long as we (the world) did. He taught us so much and was a great role model for kids through out the world.
He can never be replaced only remembered. I would like to offer my respects to his family and say I am very sorry for your loss. No words will make you feel better or ease the pain you feel. All we can do is pray for you and offer any support that you may need. God bless you and your family Steve Irwin. You will be missed.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Irwin Family and friends. My fondest thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that knew and loved him. Steve was a very great and loving man. He inspired my love of repitles of all kinds; now I own a Ball Python. He had a way of making animals fun and exciting. I will greatly miss Steve. I cried when I learned of his passing. He was like nature's big brother. My husband wrote this next part in his MySpace bulletin for all to read...Thank you Steve Irwin, for doing what you did. Many people wouldn't be interested in animals if you hadn't been here. You did the impossible and brought the world of crocs and animals in general to our doorstep. No one could ever come close. Thank you.

I hope all those whose lives he touched will keep Steve's legacy alive for many years to come and our grandchildren's grandchildren will know Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter)and his love of animals all over the world and his passion and commiment to the Zoo, his family and friends and all of us whose lives he touched through the small screen! For as long as my children have been alive, we have watched Steve Irwin. He has been a part of our lives, even though we had never met him. My son, who is now 9, wanted to go to Australia and live and work at the Australia Zoo with Steve and Terri. That was his goal in life. He used to pretend that he was catching some sort of wildlife and would pounce on it in the yard. We owe that to Steve.

We will greatly miss him. We wish to express our deepest sympathy to Terri, Bindy, Bob and the rest of Steve's family and friends.
May God bless you at this time.

Do Not

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift upflifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand there at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Rest in Peace Steve Irwin

I cannot stop crying. I am so sorry to all of the Irwin family. I pray you have strength and comfort during your time of loss.

Rest in peace, Steve Irwin. I'll never forget such a passionate animal rights activist, enthusiast, and protector. The way he talked about Soui, his crocs, and a pregnant orangutan who passed away always pulled at my heart strings because he spoke about animals with the utmost respect and compassion. His knowledge of the animal world and what should be done to protect and preserve it rivaled almost all. He was a genuine diamond among rubble. He will be truly missed by all. The world is such a sadder place without Steve in it and I believe will never be graced with another with such love.

One of the worlds bright lights has faded, but we can continue his legacy. Steve would want the world to continue his purpose. I am just so sad because the human race and the animal world has lost a cherished friend.

My 5 year old girl LOVES Steve Irwin. I have always respected the man, but I did not expect to fell such grief.

The first time I saw his shows, I thought that he was wreckless. It did not take long to realize that he is a genius.

Steve's passion and charisma for wildlife conservation crossed social and political boundries. He is a treasure to Australia.

God bless his family.

I would like to show my deepest respects to Steve Irwin, his family, and friends. I speak from my heart when I say the Croc Hunter changed my life. I never thought I would be this hurt by losing someone that wasn't my immediate family or friend. I was wrong, these passed days I felt as if I have lost a friend or even an uncle figure. I watched and kept up with his work and life for many years and he has taught me what it is to truly respect and love animals. Even animals I was terrified of, everyone around me as well as I understand the importance of conservation and how even one passionate man can make all the world of difference.

I have a trip planned to Australia next summer and I was going to visit the Australia Zoo. I'm saddened that I will not get to meet him, however I am glad that he has touched my life in such a beautiful way...I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm pretty sure that watching his animals and animals everywhere his legacy will lye there.
Just hearing his voice had always brought smiles to my face, but for the pass couple of days have been mixed with a lot of saddness as well. He will be missed to the extreme and all I can wish for his family, friends, and all that loved him is that time will heal and to know how highly he is held in reguard to many all around the world.

My truest heartfelt condolences go out to you all.... I know he is your husband, Bindi and Baby Bob's dad and I'm truly thinking of you all and send my deepest sympathy to you. I hope the time comes when you can read all these condolences and it gives you some peace/comfort to know how he's touched so many lives.. Not just the human kind but the animal kind. I've never met Steve but always felt like I had. His personality was larger than life and very endearing. I loved the 2 of you together. What a special bunch.... My heart is breaking and the tears are flowing as I write this. I so remember his when he hosted with Kelly Ripa and when he was on the show with the animals.. I so loved those episodes.... God Bless and God Speed Steve Irwin......You will be truly missed.......

I just wanted to add my well-wishes and prayers for the family. Mr. Irwin did more with his breif life than most of us ever will if we live to be 100. His life was a life well lived, in service, integrity, honor and most important in these days, he truly revered life in all it's forms. A very rare quality indeed.

Father in Heaven, please watch over and comfort Terri, Bindi and Bob in this time of sorrow. Please lift them up and strengthen them and let them know they do not grieve alone. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God Bless you all,

Steve brought his enthusiasm into my families home and lives for many years. His "in your face" tactics made us seem like we were there with him on every adventure. My children were captivated by his passion and excitement. We envied Steve for the places and things he got to see but in a virtual way we got to be there with him. Steve will be truely missed but will be forever immortalized as the "Crocodile Hunter".
Steve has given us ALL a challenge. To recognize the importance of wildlife conservation and do something about it, no matter how big or small. I know his family will carry on his legacy to the fullest and my deepest condolences go out to Terri, Bindi, Bob, Steve's father and all his friends.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Terri and the little ones, the whole Irwin family, and everyone that worked closely with Steve, please know that the world is with you.

I'm 22 and I've never cried for a celebrity before in my life, until now. I have been watching wildlife documentaries on the Discovery Channel since before I can remember, and a deepfelt respect for animals and life has become an integral part of me. Steve was the only naturalist I've ever seen, famous or otherwise, who acted so enthusiastically dedicated to the animals and people he worked with and really meant every moment of it - so much so that no viewer in the world could deny that there was something particularly remarkable about his brilliant personality. I've always believed in the philosophy that you can tell everything about a man's character just by the way he treats animals, and that said, Steve was a saint to his purpose and passion. Bindi is truly blessed to have been brought up under the devoted tutelage of such a wonderful father, and I look forward to seeing little Bob follow suit under the example of his father's legacy.

As big and small animal and insect enthusiasts, Dwayne and Linda would like to express and offer our deepest condelences to each and every one of you. Even though we never had the priviledge to meet you, we shared your love towards nature's gift and learned so much from your shows. You taught the entire world a NEW respect for mother nature and taught us to respect God's creatures... Even the most dangerous of them. We truly know the world has lost a great man.... a pioneer in modern day zoology. We felt like like we lost a brother. We will never forget the legend of the TRUE crocodile hunter... To the Irwin Family,

I was deeply sadden when I heard the news. I've watched Steve Irwin since I was a kid. I cried when it finally sunk in which wasn't until yesterday at about 1AM. He made me see that crocodiles were awesome and that all wildlife should be respected and protected. He inspired me to be a strong environmentalist. I'm crying knowing that the Croc Hunter is gone forever.

I burned some incense in his memory and prayed for his safe journey to the blissful afterlife. I also made a blessing for his family, friends, and co-workers.

RIP Steve. You will be greatly missed. You may be gone but you will NEVER be forgotten.
