A PEBBLE CAUSES A RIPPLE

Drop a pebble into any body of water
Notice a ripple effect is about to occur
The ripples will touch every shoreline
As if by some simply perfect design

We all have heard the notion of cause and effect
When we take up a cause we hope to affect
Every choice we make affects something or someone
This is a verifiable phenomenon

Ever think about how what you choose to do or not to
Can alter the lives of everyone around you
Yes, what we do in our lives affects more than just us
The point I am trying to get across is not preposterous

History remembers those who left their mark, bad or good
The reason for this I pray will now be understood
Their affect on many lives made us take notice
This was not by some magical coincidence

We all touch people, each and every day
We yearn for them to think of us, as special, in some way
What you do or say to someone can change his or her life
Including where they may live in their afterlife.


DARE TO DREAM

A dream is a vision for future events to unfold
To dare to have one these days is quite bold
It is rare that a person is willing to stick their neck out
Step out of common boundaries is what it’s about

To not be afraid to let your notions be heard
To not listen to those who say your idea is absurd
Who takes the initiative to make their dream come true
Who said it could not happen, even happen to you

Dreams are realized by taking a chance on failure
I know this concept does not help to reassure
Determination is an attribute you must not lack
When you get knocked down, you must bounce back

Only you know what it will take to realize your dream
Now get ready, can you feel it picking up steam
Your adrenaline starts pumping as you think of it
There is so much to do, no time to idly sit

A dream is a vision for future events to unfold
Now that you have one, now it is time to be bold
You are that rare person willing to stick your neck out
Step out of common boundaries is what it’s about.
