www.geofftaylormusic.com
Geoff, As your song questions, did we let Steve know how much we cared? Sadly I believe that we were all too late. Take a look at the register dates below all of our names, mine included. Yet, I can't tell you the amount of times that I would watch one of his shows and think "I wish I could be more like that." or watched him with Bindi and thought "How great is her life?!" Steve exuded love and passion in everything he did, I don't know of ANYONE that I can say that about. I think that's why I have not made it through one day this past week without crying. Steve was a person that I admired in every way. I cannot imagine having that on a personal level and then have them taken away. The world lost a beautiful man last Monday, but Terri lost the love of her life, Bindi and Bob - an unbelievable father. My heart breaks for them! I just wish he knew how much he was admired, for everything he did, and everything he was.
Thank you for bumping again! I saved the site the other day, but I didn't have ears (spkrs or hdphones) till last night. Listened then. Beautiful! I wanted to thank you, but when I tried to reply via the site, I kept getting an error. Is that "Waltzing Matilda" I hear at the end? Very nice touch! "BUMP" again!
Heiderpants -- I copied your song to my iPod. It leaves me with a positive feeling and a catchy tune and fine lyrics. Thank you for sharing. I may have posted this earlier, can't recall, but I wanted to make certain I shared my thoughts and thanks.
According to the website of Australian Country singer John Williamson, He too will be writing a song in dedication to Steve Irwin sometime soon. He will also be singing live at Steve's memorial service next Wednesday.
Some people are still having trouble downloading 'Memory of You'. If you right click the link and select 'Save as', you should be able to save the mp3 direct to your computer. As posted earlir, if you still have trouble, email me at info@geofftaylormusic.com and I will email the song to you.
Hey calsonik, myspace told me,"If your song doesn't come up within 2 or 3 days, then delete it and upload it again." Just thought I'd pass it on. Great song.
This is a wonderful song please keep us updated. On the sales of the cd and so that we can buy it to help support Terri, Bindi, Bob, and the rest of his family and friends at the zoo. We all need to reach out and be just that much more supportive for the aniamls. If we all take just alittle of the love and spark that Steve had for the animals Look at how bright we can make Steve's light shine.
Is there someone who can somehow send it to me or something? Because of internet it will only let me listen to 30 seconds of it and not download it. please! SaraS2007@wmconnect.com
The Memorial service was extremly moving. You will be missed for a long time to come Steve. Today the world stood still for you. Tomorrow we will carry on for you.
I just listened to your song for the first time and I want to thank you for your incredible tribute to our hero. It is going to take more than a lifetime to get over the loss of the most amazing person any of us can ever know. For all that he's done for wildlife and humanity while staying true to himself, he will never be forgotten.
I want to let you know that the "Waltzing Matilda" chords you put into your song reminded me of my childhood. My uncles, The Irish Balladeers, have been playing and recording Irish music for decades and they used to play Waltzing Matilda, which was always one of my favorite songs. I can't help crying still, knowing I missed any chance of ever meeting my hero.
Thank you, Geoff, for your moving tribute to Steve Irwin and thank you for bringing back some old memories.
Sorry to all those who cannot get to my website. It has gone over its traffic limit for the month. However, you can still listen to the song and download it from www.myspace.com/geofftaylormusic I hope this helps those who have not yet had the chance to hear it.
