Jennifer from Carlsbad, CA - Words can not express the sadness I have for the loss of this great man. Thank You Steve for spreading your passion to the world.
I have cried so hard about the loss of the beloved Crocodile Hunter: Steve Irwin. I really loved watching him, his family, his zoo family and all the animals. I am a devoted animal lover and knew he would be the one to change the world when I first saw his show back in the 90's. He was passionate and he loved what he did. He did what I couldn't do! He picked up creatures I would never get near, yes, I loved him, cuz he showed me things in a different sight. I will miss him so much and I hope the Animal Planet never stops showing his show, they may be reruns, but they are still great to watch. He had another job to do, as he must have completed what he needed to do here. I think he left this job in very capable hands, Bindi, she is her daddy and will carry his legacy on. Bless the Irwin family, the zoo family and all the animals, they(the animals) and we(the humans) have all suffered a great loss, he truly was a hero. Rest in Peace and love Steve Irwin, you are the greatest of all animal crusaders.
Jackie Brunson and my family, Sumter, South Carolina USA I posted previously and forgot to say where I was from. We loved Steve Irwin, he was the greatest!!
Never before has someone impacted and touched so many lives. Steve Irwin's effervesant personality was one of his most endearing traits. My daughter lost her Dad when she was 5. My heart bleeds for Bindi and Bob. I know the pain of Terri's loss and I grieve for her. The videos that are so painful to watch right now, will soon become treasured memories of the larger than life man, Steve Irwin. God has blessed us all with Steve. Thank you Terri for sharing your best mate with the world.
I visited Australia Zoo in January 2003 a beautiful summer day in Oz. Steve passed my rental car on the way to Beerwah and I'm sorry I missed him, but I had a lengthy conversation with Wes Mannion.
It was a very memorable day, one I'll never forget. I keep looking at the pictures and wish my two girls would have been able to come along.
We'll miss him dearly!!
Our best wishes to Terri, Bindi, Bob(junior), Bob(senior), Wes Mannion, John Stainton, the extended Irwin family, everyone at Discovery Channel who gave Steve a crack at his oh so diverse way of making us love the most dangerous creatures on earth (including mankind) and the loving staff at Australia Zoo.
I hope Stevo and Chilli Dog have great adventures in heaven.
Crocs Rule!!!

I'm completely overwhelmed when I see how many people have signed this pertition to be send to Steve's family at Australia Zoo.
What a fantastic idea. Good on ya, mate!!
And I also wasn't aware of how many Nations are shocked and saddened by his passing. But remember, if we all do our part, Steve will live on through us and he would be proud of us.
And this to the people who where effected by 09/11/2001. I heard after the tragedy at the World Trade Center, Steve ran through his shop at Australia Zoo and collected all the stuffed animals and toys and send them off to the U.S. to be given to the kids of firefighters, parametics, FBI agents etc., to help them cope with their tragedy.
I don't believe this is just gossip, because it certainly sounds like something Steve would have done.
The world lost the greatest man it ever had, not just for wildlife, but also for humankind.
Chris ,Donna and Kids from Scranton SC We send all our Heart And Prayers to the Irwin Family and to the All the the workers at he Zoo. Steve will be miss alot by all of us but HE will Never Be ForGoten

CRIKEY! We're really going to MISS HIM!!! Just can't seem to accept that he's really gone ... People from all over the world feel the HUGE void since his passing, and you know if we're hurting this much, his family and those closest to him must be devastated! The best way to honor Steve's memory is to truly HONOR his work and we all know what that means. Please support WILDLIFE CONSERVATION and help the Erwin family dream live on ... Remember, there can never be enough Wildlife Warriors to continue the fight!!!
WE LOVE YOU STEVE ... AND THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!! WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!
Eldon and Marcy Eutsler, St. Petersburg Fl. I can't stop thinking about how much Steve did to change our attitudes about all living things. I know we will always be changed for the better because of his life and how he saw the world. All our love to Terri and their kids. Crocs Rule!
Thanks for sharing your passion with the world. Its rare when a genuine person can touch the world so much as Steve did. You will be missed, but never forgotton and your education of Conservation and Caring will continue to teach, in reruns and in all you recorded and did every time it is broadcast. I have no doubt that your wife and children, mates at Australia Zoo and the Networks, as well as your fans, will carry on and keep the consergvation movement going with what you started.
To the Irwins, Wes, and all his mates at Austrailia Zoo and to Animal Planet, Thank you for letting so many strangers grieve with you at the televised memorial. I know it is hard to endure this time of loss, but you have the condolences of the world reaching out to you. As Steve said--its a loss people will carry with them when a loved one dies, but its a duty to get back up and move foreward and carry on as the person lost would have wanted you to.
The televised tribute memorial was very touching and moving. I hope AP will re-run it several times over and re-run the tributes and show collections regularly. Let Stsve's shows and educations never be silent from the world or from future generations of wildlife warriors.
Missed deeply, admired greatly, but never forgotton.... CS
