The Roman Family, Danny, Yolanda, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jared, and Jazmin. Our J's have grown up watching Steve since they were each born. We have had many different snakes and lizards over the years because Jonathan wanted to be like Steve and save animals. I hope that we can hold fast to Steve's lessons and continue to share his love for all animals with the children that will only get to see and know him in re-runs. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I have watched both Steve and Terri (and the others at the zoo) since it began. We never missed an episode and always looked forward to seeing it. They have let us into their lives, honestly and warmly. We (the TV audience) have been so fortunate to be accepted into their studies of wildlife and high-energy trips around the world. I distinctly remember the episode when Bindi was born, as my husband and I were about to get married and start our own family. What raw and sincere emotion Steve had during the birth! I was in awe - Terri was so lucky to have married such a wonderful man to be her children's father. He will be very much missed in my home here in Austin, Texas. Many regrets and thoughts going out to Terri, Bindi and Bob - along with his Father and all the wonderful people who were so fortunate to be able to work along side Steve.
I sure hope the pain subsides, but we will never forget the Croc Hunter...{{{hugs}}}.
