Where to start. First off I started watching Steve Irwins show for his passion of animals and his personality was like no other I had ever seen. Soon after watching I really grew to love the shows most with terri and him, as he had another passion that really showed through his Love for her and respect for his wife and his love for her came accross so loud and clear. That terri as well had a love for the same animals and the sernity of being together. Not many shared or will ever share that same love and passion with another. Then there was Bindi, boy was and is picture perfect looks like both of her parents, and so smart it is obviouse that both parents cared and loved her and always will. I know she is only 8 but, is much smarter than most eight year olds I have ever seen, I attribute that to both Steve and Terri. She has carisma much like her dad. He would brag of her and he passion for snakes as well as terri having the passion for the feline family. So many of his shows where of yes his love for the wildlife, but whenever he got the oppurtunity he never forgot to mention a family member. Like as well his dad, this is what my dad did or taught me or his fathers many encounters where mentioned. So when I think of Steve Irwin yes as everyone I think of him as a wildlife and conservation guru with smarts, carisma. But most of all I will remeber him as a family man. Also his young son just so young as the rest of his family to loose someone. He too is so much a part of Terri and Steve. Please when people remeber Steve hug your wife and children as that was so important to him as well. If we all treated our signicant others and children as he has. Oh what a world we would live in. I have two teenage boys, my youngest 14 was devasted of the news his first thoughts were mom, what about his wife and children. I said I do not know hunny, it is going to be hard as they have lost the best but forever will be in there hearts. He is with God now and your grandfather who killed at the age of 51 will take good care of him. He knows his wildlife and conservation will be ok as he had the ball so rolling. That my son knew the family was what really needed help. He just does not know how best to help from so far away. Living in the United States in the small state of Maine. Also he has an aunt who had the priveledge of meeting the family while voumteering at the zoo. When she came back from Australia and shared her photos and her experience with us she did confirm what we saw on TV. He was a great man and father and Husband. He was just a down right good man these words where spoke when he was still alive. She has made a scrapbook of her time there a years worth and cherished it before and I am sure more so now. As we all cherish what we can no longer have even more. I do not have much money to donate as I come from a low middle class family, so the best I can do is say I am sorry to ,Terri and Bindi and Bob JR. and SR. My son on the other hand has giving up saving for his dirtbike and wants to send money to his children instead he is looking for odd jobsto continue his save. He knows money will never replace what they have lost, but does not know what else to do. I have heard some station is trying to find a replacement for him all I can say is there is NO ONE so stop LOOKING!! It will not work. Teri, Bindi and Bob Jr. are what he has left for us, and I will not be surprised in years to come if we see his children following in a similar footstep. Maybe it will be animals they go for or something else but it will be represented with total passion, something both Terri and Steve have instilled in there children it is obviouse They have taught them to always do your best and it will show. the have taught them passion for animals and respect for everything around them. We could all learn alot from Teri and her loving and tlerant nature. Also I would say to all you camera crew leave the family alone in there time of mornin, they will come to us when and if they are ready. Please respect him as a family man. I remeber a morning show where Bindi and her dad where on together and Steve lingered on every word or thing that little girl said with his eyes brighter and glowing like a proud Papa!! Teri if you ever read this please know I care and do not begin to understand how you feel or would even say I could. Just know I respect and think you are one terriffic lady!! Follow your heart and know when you feel so alone. Just look around and all you and Steve have built TOGETHER many couples and families will never have in a lif time no matter how long they live. I do not mean things or objects I mean the love and passion. You are someone I look up to and think you are a great role model for the world. As a mother and wife and your own passion for animals. And the fact you put your family first was obviouse. Having Steve gone so much for his job an allowing him his passion and being right along side of him and rasing your children. I can not imagine how hard this has been in the spotlight always. You have much to teach the world about just commen humanity and for this I respect you. Thank-you to whomever allowed this forum. It was needed. If you know what is best to tell our children on how to help you and your children please when you are ready please let us know. Debbie Woodward of Maine in the United States.
